I Work On A Call Center... And I Dont Give A Shit About Customers Taking Business Somewhere Else... The problems I Cant Fix Are Always Related To Stupid Consumers... If You Want Results Stop Crying And Be Smart...
Companies don't want high volume per hour. At least not customer service. The guy manning the line wants everybody to hate it so they leave him alone. Corporate cares though.
I work in customer service and most of this video is useless. You ask for a supervisor and I will tell you I am one (with my boss's blessing). If you refuse to hang up and I'm watching my call time, I am allowed to disconnect. Want corporate's phone number? I don't have it (seriously). About 90% of the people who call have caused their own problem and expect me to clean it up, that's why customer service reps don't respect customers. That job will make you lose faith in god and humanity.
Well calling again and hope you'll get better service from someone else, is just non-sense. I worked for CS during a few years, and we got this trick a lot, and we also answered that it doesn't matter who you talk to or how many times you call, the answer will be the same from everyone.
Specially if you have a database of the costumers and can leave notes on their accounts...
I worked at a call center too and we used to write high priority notes saying something like "This customer has been educated about ____ and insist on keep calling even though he was explained that ___" So the next representative to take the call will see it and resume to give the same answers.
@MereLee Another 4 calls to get them to admit the registration server was down and had been for several weeks he then immediately hung up on me. The next guy however when I mentioned that the server to registry had been down for a while finaly was willing to take put in the registration for me since the customer side was what was really down and I got to have my 360 replaced.
@tursiops33 Not necessarily. When my first 360 had a case of red ring it took me a month to get them to send me a box. Was limited on when I could call because of how long just navigating the 'labyrinth' took and having to go to work so I couldn't call often. I believe it took me till the 4th or 5th tech support guy to get past the 'tests' to prove it wasn't red ring and find out that signing up for xbox live did not register the system.
@ruoyu10 man ok look on hoecast how often does a good howcast actual come? prety rarely but the =y happen so would you rather sit and wait for months for a howcast or would you rather watch others in between?
With most systems, you can either press 0 repeatedly or press all the numbers on your phone. However, be forewarned! With some systems, doing this will put you back at square one and make you start all over again.
Everything was OK until #5. After #5, just rage and ask for retention/public relations (it's the same department). Asking for a supervisor is 90% of the time completely useless. They usually have the same privileges as a regular rep and they may give you some "candy" offers (like 50$ credit or 1 month free) to make you think you're "winning" the argument. We had a fake supervisor departement btw.
Public relations rep can actually help you, that's their job.
@icecool1065 i whould have sewed the fuck out of each pearson who did that for tresspasing and property damaging then the fucking god damn compony itself if i were your uncle
Don't start with minor issues. Service reps expect that your highest priority issue is the first one you're going to bring up. Don't waste their time with chit-chat either - get to the point asap. And before you call, RTFM (read the manual).
Why not threaten to take your business elsewhere? I always drop that bomb and threaten to go to the company's direct competitors... Problem usually gets solved right then and there lol.
Doesnt make the CS rep all warm and fuzzy to help you if you make threats to go to the competitors so ( at least i am) less willing to help you unless you are cordial with me then CS reps (the good ones) will try to work with you
Luckily the CS rep's feelings have absolutely no factor in the equation of customer service... Haha ;).
Although yeah, obviously if you personally piss off the person on the other end of the phone, they will be less likely to try hard to help you. Obviously they personally dont care if you go to another business...
personally "threaten me " by saying well I'm going to another company! And Its your fault, your going to loose your job" I really could care less, does not affect me at all, as long as i did all i needed its fine. I just laugh( when on mute! lol) I dont understand also why people feel if their pissed their going to get better help lol, it honestly makes me try less for them, certain things that are up to reps discretion. So people should learn.
@FlamesKnightX12488 not true. when i threaten a customer service rep that i want to talk to there superviser they always get scared and fix my problem.
Well you have not gotten the pleasure of getting a rep with some balls lol. If your nice to me, i know you have a problem and I'll do anything in my power to help, Key word "my power." but if your cursing, we do have a right to hang up, on you, also keep in mind we do have your account up, so we can leave notes to other reps, or leave special inst. to not give you credit and it has to be followed, at least in my company. My sup will not sugar coat you either, he especially hates being cursed at
This has actually worked for me plenty of times. If you can't get anywhere with the rep you're speaking to, get the call escalated to supervisors until you get someone that will help you.
"70% of customers experienced rage in the last 12 months"
i can imagine how they gained those statistics: "sir, now that you're yelling at me, would you describe your current state of mind as relaxed, conerned, upset, or enraged?
Wow, your an idiot. Its the truth, and at least i didn't make a total fool of myself just now. For a country that say they are so down to earth, there sure are a lot of completely ignorant people. However, obviously you are completely ignorant to the saying "It's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought and idiot, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"

Here's what I do:
1. Do internet search for the CEO's name, and address of the corporate office.
2. Write a letter to the CEO, explaining what the problem is, what's been done, what's not been done and the results.
3. I begin the final paragraph with, "Therefore I respectfully demand that you take action in this matter." I tell them what I need done.
This method never fails! I've used this method with telcom companies, large corporations, and even with a state government department.

He was gettin 900 channels for like 10 pounds a month. He pushed the too far though, and the guy said he was coming to get him, haha
They waited outside his house in a van. When he went out to the shop they came to his door and told his wife they were checking gas leaks or shit.
They ripped out his phone lines and and drove off, he chased after them down the street, LMAOOOOO
