This is a WK-3500 .. I'm looking to change the keyboard entirely ... maybe a KORG TR , or a Roland Phantom... I can't decide yet... I've been doing research for almost a year now.. And each one has different features that I like, but I can't afford getting two.. Neither have the space to add more than one.. I still have my Yamaha PSR-19, and I can't sell this one to anyone ..

About Shamandalie, it's harder for me, as the leading voice confuses me, it's pretty similar to the piano melody.. The user Brakis was kind enough to send me his arrangement but I got distracted by other songs...

yea dude i want to get a korg KARMA or triton extreme (same as sonata arctica) and im planning on getting a roland ax1 or ax7 MIDI controller for ultimate stage performance... but dude get one of the korg workstation keyboards i myselfe have been doing research and found that korgs are the best, i dont want one because sonata uses them but they are just plain good same with the midi controller

I think I saw a Kurzweil or Clavia keyboard on Sonata's performances...

But I just checked their website and I saw Korg and Clavia... Henrik also used that Roland synth/guitar they smashed in the DVD: For the sake of revenge.

The thing is I'm looking to get a more "Within Temptation/Delain - Nightwish" sound.. I need more Orchestral sounds.. And I'd hate to use a computer in the future to get better sounds..

My budget isn't that high, so, I can only afford one synth and that's it for many years

Tuomas uses 3 keyboards, and a lot of samples.. I think he had a Triton LE + N364 + Karma last time I checked around 2005...

The Triton Extreme was also my first choice but I couldn't find it down here.. only found TR and now M50... Another thing that's keeping to get a TR, is the delay it has when switching instruments on the fly, the same problem I have now..

And many other things.. The other was to go is Roland, cause of the expansion cards..

I don't want to regret if I get the wrong one..

yea i like the karma because you can save instrument settings... and i myself have no money... thats why im looking for a job, so cand gather up all of my keyboard equipment including amps, stage keyboards MIDI controllers and the like but my first priority is to get my roland MIDI controller (keytar sonata uses) they look sick and have good functions... but i want a karma because of the sounds and functions along with the triton extreme

i have a job.. but I'm looking to get a car first than the keyboard.. otherwise it'll be imposible or at least expensive to carry the keyboard around, also for college and everything.. that's the main reason.. =P

I wish I could afford an Oasys! That would solve most of my problems.. Fn US dollars =P and importation taxes ...

hey pivot. skip the triton or the karma. i own a karma and it is a badass board. but pick up a m3. it has the new karma on it. (karma 2.0) and it has some really good sounds on it. if you have the money to shell out for it.

hey. there is always used gear.  i mean the karma is used also and much older. karma will run you from 600-800 bucks. a used m3 i have seen for a bit over 1000.

cof cof... i'm not at home now.. and can't search for that .. don't know the name of the key but If I remember correctly the notes are: E - F# - G# - A# - B - C# - D# ..... there's an "A" somewhere but I guess is an Esus4 chord or something like that to fit in the melody.. not sure about the name of that chord either =) .. just started learning a little theory not so long ago..

I don't know how to read music either, only a little, I learn songs mostly by ear, it took me a couple of months to get this one right, speacially the left hand part, and I took the liberty to add a few notes on some parts.. So it's not entirely the original version..

And well... I found a book, it's not a joke although it may sound like it, the name is "Music Theory For Dummies", it has a lot of basic information, including staffs and keys... Right now I'm reading "Music Composition For Dummies". I suggest you read that book, then take a look at the sheets, find the key, then get yourself familiarized with the notes on your keyboard..

There are no key changes like in other Sonata's songs, so you won't have to worry about it ;)
