And exactly how do we not depend on foreign oil? Considering the U.S. comsumes about 28.5 million barrels/day, but we only produce about 6.7million barrels/day of petroleum products.

And I find it very interesting that a country, the U.S., which has only 4.53% of the world's population uses 33.3% of the oil being produced worldwide.

The solution is renewable sources of energy such as wind, solar, hydro(dams), etc...
