Denon has a pre-amplified RCA output (pre out), wich you can use to connect to a power amp. You can bi-amplify your speakers, if you wish, and the amplifiers have similar gain (dB).
Hi! Man, this is a beautifull amplifier. Yes, it weights 74lbs, a little monster to move. The sound of XPA-2 is very influenced by the pre wich is used. Cables are very important too. The main word that define this amp is: Authority. Lots of power to manage very precise bass. A excelent and neutral mids and highs. In my system, the sound is open, with generous bass, due to RS6 I believe. Well, it delivers more than you pay for it!

Nice system man. Great Music as well. I used Jazz to Demo my system(not even close to yours). I love the imaging of your setup.
