  • @rayed202 Here's a description of the video that my TA gave:

    This one illustrates how hemoglobin fibers form in sickle cell anemia. Normal oxygen binding is shown first (with bright blue glowing oxygen)- four O2s per hemoglobin tetramer. Then, the mutated residue (valine instead of glutamate) is shown in yellow, sticking out from the hemoglobin protein. You can watch these "sticky" hydrophobic valines cause hemoglobin tetramers to aggregate together to form fibers.

  • Deep sea anaemia.

  • Due to poor oxygentaion or low hGb the glutamic acid was replaced by valine that caused sickling, loosing its flexibility. Am I right?

  • I agree. Again, your sounds and visuals are amazing but there really needs to be some narration in this video to make it perfect like the insulin production and ty 1 diabetes one.
