Does anybody know how they achieved this blur overlay kind of soft effect in this anime? Ive been trying to find some tutorials that allow u to get this effect in photoshop but not much luck so far. Any help will be appreciated. I love this effect.

The fact that you consider plot to have the same worth as action tells me you know nothing on film. Action is cosmetics, and cannot balance a badly written story due to the lack of sympathy for the charaters. Define a good fight if you don't care who wins. The movie of the franchise not only created a subgenre which produced this kind of series, it was revolutionary in terms of action as well. I urge you to look upon both products in their own time and place: it's evident that the film wins.

Well seen that we're talking about personal opinions I wouldn't involve friends in this, that'd be a direct contradiction. I see what you mean though. I'd just like to note that the series had less time-restraints but didn't get any real quality done as opposed to the movie. Now, my expectations were high, but all I got was a story that I heard before and a truckload of (to me) predictable action. In terms of balance the film might be better but if you like the series more I'll just let it rest.
ehh I read the berserk comics and then watched the show.. Theyre nothing like each other. I dont really like berserk show. but the comics are thumbs up

In the anime, Ogen of Iga clan controls one hawk, so I'll say the hawk represents Iga.
