yeah...Even though Ike is kinda slow its really fun to watch when your side smash hits an opponent and KOs them at like 50% and they're like: "What the hell?"
In a lot of situations Link's sword can be seen as a secondary weapon to his projectiles and also the other way around. Due to Link have a wide range of weapons which are used an equal amount in battle i wouldnt call him a true 100% swordsman, therefore im voting Ike the better swordsman here.
Although Link is a swordsman, most of the fighting should be done using his projectiles. His sword only comes into play when theres an opening. (Ie, using projectiles to limit the options your opponent can use, and predicting their next move.)
That being said, it does take Link time to get his projectiles out. Link's increase in speed doesnt make him top, because he still has a log of lag-time without advanced techniques. (I hate advanced techniques, good to get em out of the game.)
well link has one huge advanteges of all the other swordsman is that his projectiles cant keep people at bay. thats why i prefer link over the other swordsman. But ike is pretty cool to.

GEY NURFED LINK his up b even fully charge is not as strong as melee link.. his recover up b suked.. ppl are scared to shine spike link cu zthere gana get hit.. marths grab is as big as links fukn grapple WTF all links comboes starts with down grab FUK and its so delayed HATE U! MASASHI
Definately a nice match. Ike player is nice for the time the games been out, and I'm loving how link is now. Love the little tricks he can do as well.
The real question is, why haven't you posted more matches like this? ;)

This is my opinnion:
Link has the best b special moves in the entire game.
Ike due to his overpower and it's long range attack (i mean his sword) is an excellent fighter.
These two are my main characters

marth, since you really need skill to play him. Metaknight players depend on his auto-combos (like neutral A spamming).

Link can be aggressive with his sword, but thats only against characters that are slower than himself.
