I don't get why philly fans are so damn disrespectful to this guy. He is the best QB they ever had. Most of his career he had WR's who no one ever heard of, all he had we B-West. The one year he had a good offense around him he had a career year and lost the SB by 3 points to an amazing defense. As much as I care and loved Donovan,believe it or not coming from an Eagles fan,Philadelphia did the smart thing.They prevented the Redskins from trading for the #1 overall pick to draft Sam Bradford,and having to face Bradford for about 16 years,and instead they face Donovan,for a good 4-6 years only.Donovan was a very talented and will be missed.
McNabb is the most underrated QB of this generation. He never had a strong running game (Westbrook's best seasons came in injury seasons for 5), outside of 2004 he never had a top 5 receiver, never had a good O-line (3rd most sacked active QB), and our defenses were never as great as they seemed. If you can't get pressure with just 4 guys you aren't going to win because good QBs can beat the blitz. IMO McNabb is better than Manning because he's done way more with way less.
If you put McNabb on any of Manning's playoff teams then McNabb wins probably 2-3 Super Bowls while Manning has only won 1 because his defense was dominant in the playoffs and his running game controlled the clock for 40 minutes in the Super Bowl. Manning has had countless HOFers (Harrison, Wayne, James, Glenn, Dungy, Saturday) and don't forget Clark and Addai who were both 1st round picks. McNabb has never had the weapons Manning has yet his playoff record is better.
I'd prefer if they got rid of Andy Reid and hired a coach who commits to the running game but that's not going to happen. But yeah we need a big receiver who can go deep.
@SpraxIAKS yeah it was, DeMarcus Ware raped Jason Peters whenever he wanted too and with Jamaal Jackson injured, Jay Ratliff terrorized the inside. With Jackson coming off of the ACL tear he won't be 100% so our best lineman will be Herramans. Peters is lazy, Cole isn't that good at center, Jean-Gilles sucks, and Andrews is even worse.

Kolb threw 3 picks in 1 game already. Pretty optimistic considering 26 TDs would've put him in the top 10 this past year..more than Flacco, Palmer, Warner. To put in in perspective Brady and Rivers both threw 28 last year. Brady was 28 tds and 13 ints. Basically you expect Kolb to be as good as the current Brady in his first season starting. I've seen every preseason game snap, and every snap Kolb has taken...he's had very good plays and very bad ones.

The Redskins with out a doubt will make the play-offs this year. The real question is, how far will they get? With a QB like McNabb its possible to make it pretty far. All they really had to do is remake their offense. Their defense is one of the best in the league, the Redskins will be a top contender in the NFC next year with three outstanding RBs and a few QBs like Grossman and McNabb, both have been to the super-bowl. They already have a great receiving-corps maybe one more receiver added.

I don't get why philly fans are so damn disrespectful to this guy. He is the best QB they ever had. Most of his career he had WR's who no one ever heard of, all he had we B-West. The one year he had a good offense around him he had a career year and lost the SB by 3 points to an amazing defense. I love Vick and am glad he's getting his shot, but McNabb was with the team through the good and bad. I respect this guy, he never said anything bad about philly no matter how they treated him.

I think philly has the most questionable fan base in all of sports. They are not loyal to anyone. They booed a guy who has done a ton for them. That's the thing with philly fans, no championship=no respect. But the truth is McNabb deserved every bit of it. Philly fans are ruthless, and i can only imagine how hard it is to play for them. McNabb had a great attitude and even better career in philly, and now he is gone before our eyes. He never brought us a superbowl, but you can't say he didn't try.

Very best of luck to McNabb! He'll be missed, his combined rushing and passing yards & TD's are just about tied with Jim Kelly. If Reid hadn't asked McNabb to do too much over the years, and if our scouting department could actually draft WR's that are better than Freddie Mitchell, Todd Pinkston and Na Brown, he would've had 2 or 3 Super Bowl appearances by now, instead of just one...........

As much as I care and loved Donovan,believe it or not coming from an Eagles fan,Philadelphia did the smart thing.They prevented the Redskins from trading for the #1 overall pick to draft Sam Bradford,and having to face Bradford for about 16 years,and instead they face Donovan,for a good 4-6 years only.Donovan was a very talented and will be missed.

McNabb is the most underrated QB of this generation. He never had a strong running game (Westbrook's best seasons came in injury seasons for 5), outside of 2004 he never had a top 5 receiver, never had a good O-line (3rd most sacked active QB), and our defenses were never as great as they seemed. If you can't get pressure with just 4 guys you aren't going to win because good QBs can beat the blitz. IMO McNabb is better than Manning because he's done way more with way less.

If you put McNabb on any of Manning's playoff teams then McNabb wins probably 2-3 Super Bowls while Manning has only won 1 because his defense was dominant in the playoffs and his running game controlled the clock for 40 minutes in the Super Bowl. Manning has had countless HOFers (Harrison, Wayne, James, Glenn, Dungy, Saturday) and don't forget Clark and Addai who were both 1st round picks. McNabb has never had the weapons Manning has yet his playoff record is better.

With Jackson coming off of the ACL tear he won't be 100% so our best lineman will be Herramans. Peters is lazy, Cole isn't that good at center, Jean-Gilles sucks, and Andrews is even worse.

Kolb threw 3 picks in 1 game already. Pretty optimistic considering 26 TDs would've put him in the top 10 this past year..more than Flacco, Palmer, Warner. To put in in perspective Brady and Rivers both threw 28 last year. Brady was 28 tds and 13 ints. Basically you expect Kolb to be as good as the current Brady in his first season starting. I've seen every preseason game snap, and every snap Kolb has taken...he's had very good plays and very bad ones.

@sk0olbd Rarely gave him anybody and while DMac has had his bad plays like any other QB the Eagles increasingly predictable offense didn't make it any easier on him. Especially last season, damn sure can't blame the losses on him. Raiders, all three Cowboys, etc. doing the same thing all the time against good defense (Raiders aren't best but damn sure are good against the pass) is going to get you killed in the big games. Garcia took over that year and predictability still had Eagles lose.

The Redskins with out a doubt will make the play-offs this year. The real question is, how far will they get? With a QB like McNabb its possible to make it pretty far. All they really had to do is remake their offense. Their defense is one of the best in the league, the Redskins will be a top contender in the NFC next year with three outstanding RBs and a few QBs like Grossman and McNabb, both have been to the super-bowl. They already have a great receiving-corps maybe one more receiver added.

@Cblack08 Santana Moss lead the league in receptions for two years maybe not this year but he has and Jason Campbell was sacked a lot but to tell you the truth it has a lot to do with how our line played this year, Jim Zorn neglected the fact that our line was getting old and payed for it with injuries, so he brought the 4-12 record on himself there. You cant say that your receivers are all better than ours, we have three pro-bowl tight-ends and a pro-bowl wide-receiver and three food RBs, lol.

Manning, Roethlisberger, and possibly Favre. I would consider him a top 5 QB still in this league...and if not top 5, definitely top 10.

@LT313beats You don't think Philly scrutinizes AI? Lol. You seem to be forgetting that they got rid of his ass too. He just ended up coming back. Franchise by stats, not franchise by his ability to perform in the clutch. That's a stat that doesn't show up on paper. That's what Philly and it's fans are tired of. Donovan is a great QB and will more than likely be successful in Wash, but you won't see a SB ring with him. He's proven that he can't get one.

Worst move ever for that franchise. Complete rebuilding mode now. Im a Cowboys fan but i respect the hell out of this guy. He left Philly WITH class even though there was so much hate towards him. Hopefully they fuck up Philly next season. With all that said he is still on one of my most hated rival teams, so best of luck just not towards my 'Boys. GO COWBOYS!!!

I have been an Eagles fan since 1996 and the day McNabb got drafted i knew he was destined to be one of the all time greats. But its just a shame the way us Eagles fans treated like he was dirt yeah everyone has the same excuse that he cant win the big games but how can he win games when his defense is giving up 25-30 points a game? God, maybe when we fail to reach the playoffs the next 2 years then we shall all miss Donovan

@Moutaineerman58721 Dude, the D hardly ever gave up that many points last year. Philly's D has been a top 10 D for the last 6 years or so. The only time the D gave up that many points is when we played teams with stellar offenses. There are some Philly fans that think Donovan is dirt and some that think he is a great QB, minus the ability to perform under pressure. I'm one of those. He will be missed but Philly needs to start over.

@Moutaineerman58721 Washington is going to suffer the same fate. If Donovan takes them to the playoffs, which I doubt, then there is a ery good chance he can take them to the NFC championship game. Which he will more than likely lose. He gets praised for all the wins but doesn't get blamed for the losses? That makes no sense. It was time for Philly to try and find a better clutch QB. He's blown more game winning drives than he's won.

Donovan deserved waay better then the Eagles organization treated him I mean this guy gave the eagles everything he had and he won plenty of games with virtually no weapons! And yeah he did not win the big games but he is the reason that they got to those big games and he is the reason why the eagles are such a good team now.

i do think the redskins will go to the playoffs but not just because of #5. they have whole different coaching staff. zorn sucked and they almost beat the saints and the cowboys and theyre a much better team now. kyle shannahan had the # offense last year and their d is in the top 10 so theyll go to the playoffs. philly couldnt run the ball and their d wasnt that great and they got to the playoffs.

@mickee06 I do think you're outta control if you think McNabb is going to do the same thing for Washington as he did for Philly. Washington's entire team blows. Philly at least had some pro bowlers on both sides of the ball. It's not that Philly couldn't run, it's that they chose not to run. That's the offense and how Andy Reid runs the game. The YPC totals were pretty good for anyone who got the chance to run though.

@Cblack08 seriously? you know that the redskins have one of the best defenses in the nfl? and they picked up 3 runningbacks (old but in rotation, they're gonna wreck havoc), now they need to draft an o-lineman or trade off haynesworth for a good nose tackle and they're set
