this guy did the equivalent of 9 tours in iraq. more than any soldier has. he is one of the best combat reporters in world.

The US platoon that he was embedded with stated that he knew more about the situation in Iraq than military intelligence and took note of everything he said. he was right along side one of the soldiers when the soldier performed an act of heroism that got him nominated for the medal of honour, yet ware got nothing.

Simply not true. McCain wants to take credit for something which failed. The "surge" was to place 20,000 additional troops in Iraq to bring peace, so that the Iraqi people could form it's own government. With more troops the number of deaths lowered but Iraq didn't form it's government. So it failed in part. Once we pull our troops out, they'll just return again. Ware has lived in Bagdad since '03. Until you've done the same, you're wrong to assume any assessment in Iraq.
