Sunwell was my favorite instance of all time. Every single boss (before nerfs at least) was a significant milestone; there weren't really any push-overs. You can't say the same for any other instance in WoW's history. Pre-nerf Muru and Kil'jaeden kills were the most adrenaline-pumping of all time. If you knew what it felt like, you'd truly understand the nerd screams for a world 2nd KJ kill.

On a side note, it's really cool to see Method on top again in the first-tier Cataclysm hardmodes.

Warlock DPS was insane, so generally (in progression based guilds shooting for World top-25) there were 5 Warlocks in for Brut. and 5 in for KJ and as many as possible for M'uru (seeds). Mages were terrible back then and generally there was either 1 or none (except KJ you had to have 2 for dragons).

This is what I loved about World of Warcraft. Boss encounters were actually difficult, you needed to put some efford into it. Only boss you can compare this to today is LK 25 HC mode. Other then that, WoW has become way to easy. What about Archimond days where you had to practise the "falling" of the cliff edge for hours. And the fail on the boss for days, even weeks for others. WoW is only heading down, sorry to say! Its becoming a game for the noobs.

IMO, WotLK isn't any easier. Ever seen or tried 25 heroic LK? It's ridiculous. However, I think since the numbers of players have exploded since BC, about doubled, I think people are way more hardcore into WoW now than in BC. I heard Paragon (World first 25 hard mode LK) raids 14 hours a day. Now, if they don't down something first, I don't know who would.

Tbh world firsts and first few kills were something to scream over. WoTLK....nah nothing to amazing. This was like hard mode ICC Putri/Sind/LK but no easy mode to gear up from.

@Bloddyhuntard Correct, but KJ had no real Hardmode, Yogg Saron died on the first reset Ulduar opened, with 4 keepers. Lich King is the exception but the WoTLK was build upto through ALL previous expansions. There was nothing hard about 3.0/3.1/3.2 content unless you wish to go for HMs and Achi's

@Mbarnes3381 not 100% true. Blizzard can always make fights harder and harder. with wrath they just re used vanilla/BC's mechanics so everyone knew them. aside from a few fights. TBC was a unique touch to WoW and i dont think cataclysm will be able to be that good even if blizz says it will be.

You can't compare an encounters difficulty by looking at how long it took to beat him.

Sure Yog was hard, and required good strategy, but the real reason it took so long too beat him was just the fact that he required all-best-in-slot equipment. Kiljaeden and Mu'ru weren't so much about equipment. They were about PERFECT tactic, reaction speed and skill.

Not saying that Yog didnt need skill or KJ didn't need equipment, but when it comes to skill KJ was harder
