  • this kids has funk

  • I took my dad to this show for his birthday. It was incredible. I've seen around 400 bands and this was in my top ten. Seeing them let that kid as well as a coupla others come up and play was about as classy as is gets, in my opinion.

  • Go cuz!!!!

  • I love the way the kid is so nonchalant when he plays too... he may not realize what he's doing... at least to some extent anyway. BIG props to young musicians! It'd be intersting to see what kind of all-star kid jazz/blues kind of group you could put together with your Tony Royster Jrs. and Ari Teitels of the world! Who would the bass player be? Anyone know?

  • now he's 13...im honored to be in his band :D

i'm 15...i play keys in it

  • Wow..all u musicians giving the kid a hard time..funny, I see HIM on youtube and not you! Penatonic? Who cares,he knows how to please a crowd. Put the freaking guitar magazines down and go pratice!!!

  • i agree w/ you macgee. every musician on here gets criticized by everyone because "its good, but not that good. better than me maybe, but with bad tone. and i mean, he's only running the pentatonic..." give it a rest. just realize that not everyone playing an instrument is at the top of their game but at least they're doing something more productive than scanning the internet for fake musicians and criticizing their every mistake and miscue. give them props.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • The kid is 11 years-old! Give him some time. They're just impressed that he can do that at his age. You youtubians have to critique everything, even when it's not really necessary. I don't even care if you can play better; the point is, whether you critique this kid's playing or not, I doubt he's going to know you're critiquing him, anyway. He didn't post the video So, what's your point?

  • I was at this show and this had to have been the coolest thing I've seen at a concert. The actual playing isn't incredible... until you realize that this kid is 11 years old and asked to jam with one of the better live acts running today. Amazing

  • The kid has bigger balls than I do. He can definitely play- even though he's running the pentonic . . . that is damn impressive for anyone not to choke.

  • Very cool...great ear....we will pay oneday to see this one play! Keep it up.

  • Damn, only 11 and already jammin' with Robert Randolph. Best of luck to you in the future...I'm sure we'll all be seeing you soon.

  • whoever says this kid is nothing special is wrong. try soloing in E for 4 minutes straight in front of thousands of screaming people at age 11!!! They should stick that kid in a music conservatory train him and he will be absolutly rediculous. there are plenty of middleaged musicians who cant spit on top of a Randolph riff like that. I think the kids awesome. He is head of the game.

  • hey wee ari. when you see a good and positive post, it means the person is talking out of their heart..and when you see a bad post about your playing it means the person is talking out of there bottom...

  • nothing that good really.

awesome that he does it, but he's not great at all.

and oh lord what a terrible tone he got outta that.

better then me when i was 11 though, i wasn't playing yet. give him a coupla years.

  • the performance was recorded with a digital camera and I was standing next to the bass amp. therefor the tone does sound funky. guitar and amp (crate) were way out of wack as well. There is some other stuff on his youtube music page.

  • the kid is good hs good ears but is nothin special

  • I heard about this kid on the RRFB website. Must say, I'm impressed. Keep it up!

  • So much confidence for such a young kid. I think it goes to show what an incredible gift music is to our society. He is awesome.

  • What were YOU doin' when you were eleven, aseme?

Most teenagers can't express themselves as well as this kid.

Rock On Ari, you're ahead of the pack!!!
