Not a secret. This island is for 1 of the The Scepter of the Shifting Sands quests which were around till being removed when Cataclysm came out.

The only thing is this guy got to the island in an "unconventional" way. When you do the quest that sends you to the island, you talk to a mermaid who gives you a swim speed buff which allows you to get there without dying to fatigue

uhmm to explain this island is hidden to most but if you did the AQ opening quest chain you'd pick up a quest there in the mud called rAnS0m back in the day you did a love letter quest for one of the nagga on tanaris, (in the water) which gave you a increase swiming speed to be able to go island

That area is one of my favorate areas to just sit back and relax while waiting for a dungeon or raid(summon) or Battleground, i mean, theres pirates, scorpians/hyenas/fire rocs and nice houses, the oil rig in the middle has a nice room on the top for "Role play".

This is an area for a quest since classic. If you will make the quest for den gates of Ahn'Quiraj, you must go to this islands. It's a nice quest. You get a swimboost from a mermaid to get to this island.

it also levels you up and every Blizz GM when making a charecter has a special GM teleporter to the island. the current GM island is in Mael strom to what i heard

t's an island on sud of the map and we can't see it on map, anyway with swim speed potion you can go there or with a dk, anyway you must go there when you are doing the quest of the faction "brood of nozdormu" to start the chain quests.

@InTrip88 the island is off the Tanaris map, southeast... but if you stand on the beach on southeast tanaris you can see the shapes of the island on the horizon as you look around... I saw something out there and got on my dk mount, path of frost and road over there.

Also heard of an underwater place where there is a compass on the tarnaris map (southeast ocean) but haven't checked...

This was part of the quest for the opening of the AQ gate back in Vanilla WoW. I joined WoW a little while after that and I regret missing it. It must have been pretty cool. :)

Going to the island is actually part of a quest chain for opening the gates of AQ. There is an npc in the water near the shoreline that will give you a swimming buff i believe that will make going there easier. But you have to complete the quest the npc gives you before they will buff you. Or you can just use an elixir of water walking.

I know that they use a "Spy Cam" or an in-game character because when I was on my druid in darnassus queing for PvP, I fell off a wall and the GM said "Sucked in you fell off :P" which then I asked him/her to port me back up there, and well.. You can see a gm ingame, Our dk tank deleted his tank ring by mistake once and it was too late to buy it back so he made a ticket. we were currently in ulduar and the GM came to us and spawned a portable mailbox so our tank could get his ring back. The gm looked like sneeds shredder. We have screenshots and everything so you can see a GM ingame.

GM's have access to the spell DB and in-game commands. They can ress ppl, teleport you back some place if you are stuck, they can also make your pet to a human female (looked weird :S) etc. They are the ones sitting and reading tickets people make. Also, they are the ones that wear the GM outfit (cloth) that are blue-brown.

Admins got acces to all commands in-game (GM's don't). Admins helps out if there are big problems that GM's can't handle.

My reasons are, that GM's DO either have an ingame character or a "Spy Cam", how do I know this? Because it's pretty damn obvious that when you're talking to a GM, they see you,they know what you're doing.

But the command system, is not done through WoW, It's done on another program designed by and only for Blizzard, and if you know so much about this, then you'd know that when you type a command in Acent, it goes through a program.

lt's way easy to get there on live servers. Use a death knight's path of frost + Epic mount, get there in 30 seconds. Nothing there but some goblin and gnomish buildings, and a few southsea pirate mobs.
