X series = Space simulation which costs only few money (when you buy the game) and let you build a station, listen to awesome soundtrack, enjoy the amazing complexity of this game, form a fleet making you feeling like a boss and many many more...

i can understand people don't like it i started to like the game after more then 4days of playing and now i play with several mods wich make the game faar more interesting once ur in control of your own fleet its really fun but it takes quite some time to reach that
@7Gkar7 At least they appealed to the FANS of good games. When I was a kid, I didn't have the internet to look up walkthroughs for games, or play online with help from a friend, or use cheat codes. I had to figure that shit out myself. X3 is SLOW. You will have to invest a lot of time to actually get the most out of this game. Months. When I first started playing, I almost gave up. But I stuck with it and now I just can not stop playing.
You can't land on planets in the game. If you want a space game where every planet is a world unto itself, go play the new upcoming "Precursors" FPS/Space Combat game by Deep Shadows.
You should also visit the Egosoft forums so as to learn just how to play X3: Reunion well.

But no, you can't land. You can eject from your ship and dock anywhere you want (your reputation permitting), though.
learning curve on this game is just plain mean. and the controls are awful, i almost wish they had invented their own controller, sort of like Steel Battalion.
if you have the system for it and you have the patience to break the learning curve, there's definitely a game here.
Do not believe the trailer, this game sucks. It's impossible to run it with these graphics unless your PC is state of the art, and its very buggy too, even with the several patches they've released for it.

Once you get past the learning curve though it's a great game. Also the latest patches remove starforce and CD-check, just never run it until you install the patch and you'll never see starforce. You could additionally get it on steam which will have no starforce by default.
This is a great game. At first I found it a bit tedious, but as I progressed, it presents itself as an astonishingly complex economic and combat game, a perfect mix of RPG, simulator, RTS and shoot-em-up. Really hard to get bored of it

If you buy yourself a copy of X3: The Reunion, it's the song that plays in the Getsu Fune area. In the game's music files it's titled "8105."

economics, fleet fighting(or piracy if you choose), and management.
