to bad these werent made in the 70-80s cause they would have been made better.like maniac, these type movies are weak when it comes to exploitation. good, thing they havnt touch the green river killer cause they would make it look crap and have not hardcore goodness
@times9 the original was released in 1989 on TV (one time only) Angelo Buono was played by Denis Farina and Ken Bianci played by Billy Zane and was much better
My mom lived in the house right next door to the house that was the only house in the neighborhood that survived the hill side stranglers... if that makes sincee
I can't watch this. The murders took place about 3 miles away from where I live. 703 E. Colorado Blvd which where most of the girls were killed, is a automotive repair shop now. I wonder if the current owner is aware of it's past!
I have never really heard of the them till tonight when I found out that my uncal and a whole bunch of his friends where picked up by him and dropped off, they never found out who it was till a few days later when they say a news thing showing them...
IMHO-one of the greatest American films. Finally a director who understands and exploits the deranged psychological underpinnings of a horrific story without diluting it with cheap shots and gratuitous gore. Bravo!
Little known fact...Kenneth Bianchi appears in the audience cutaway shots in Elvis: Thats the Way It Is. He'd just got out of school and was in Vegas doing some casual work at the time. Think it's about 45 mins in.
doesn't make sense c thomas howell should've been buono since he looks more like him and nicholas turturo should have been bianchi they mixed it up.

Terrible movie. The earlier made-for-TV one with Billy Zane was much better than this.
