Of course it depends on who is getting abortions, but statistics point out that those who can't raise a conceived child properly (such as poor people or young, single mothers) tend to have more abortions. Religion isn't the problem, people are the problem. Religion doesn't make you good or bad, and it's a useful tool for rallying a group. Christianity played a very useful role in overthrowing slavery in my country, for example.

Pat Robertson is a dirtbag, and he's religious.

It's nonsense to say, "Paul doesn't think we should fight terrorists." Check your facts. Iraq is a civil war that we created... nothing to do with 9-11.
What's more important is that bin Laden was trained by our CIA in Afghanistan fighting against the Soviets. Ron Paul recognizes this "interventionism" as a fundamental problem.

Read the book Freakonomics. They make a well-backed argument. Of course it depends on who is getting abortions, but statistics point out that those who can't raise a conceived child properly (such as poor people or young, single mothers) tend to have more abortions. When abortions are not allowed, a lot of the children who are born (and would otherwise not be born) are forced into foster care (or similar) and subsequently lead a more impoverished and depressed life, often resorting to crime.
