  • Haber señores, hay que admitirlo, toda musica actual empezo a raiz de esto, ya no habra grandes maestros como antes pero se les recordaran para siempre con sus obras

  • <3

  • I'm also a big Metal Fan. And I really Love Classical Music. I know many Metalhads who love Classical Music. It's Epic Music.

  • Belin's interpretation is always spot on no matter the conductor. The Germans know how to render this one..... Too many conductors up-tempo it so fast that it sounds like a cartoon. I would love to see Berlin play this some day. 'Till then, I have this. :)

  • Music from Hell

  • @HellBornRoadCrew Exactly! I am a huge heavy metal fan but I also really like classical music.

  • If anyone listens to this for the first time, and is a complete novice to classical music, they may wonder what all the fuss is about. However, if they familiarise themselves with the piece then after a few "listening" they will realise what a wonderful piece of history this is in the world of classical music. Having sung the opera myself many times I feel I know it inside out, but each time I listen to it it makes me soar. Also I defy any heavy metal fan not to enjoy it!!!!!

  • @22worzel Why exactly do you defy any heavy metal fan not to enjoy this?

Most metalheads propaby like or appreciate this including me. In general metalheads engange in music beacause they love it and if it comes to classical music many of them have much respect for it because they know what it takes to make such awesome music.

  • I think the Bass Drum at the beginning it's very soft in hitting, with wrong soft mallets.More powerful are the violins in that famous passage that the Bass Drum....Wake up B.Drum guy;this is "Dies Irae" a day of wrath, not a calm weekend day....

  • Glad to see the Chorus uses Edition Peters

  • It's very well performed, but the interpretation here doesn't seem quite angry or scary enough.

  • Great performance, only the bass percussion hits should be a lot louder. After all, they are singing about the end of the world!

  • 0:34-0:46 you can see all of the berlin phil members twisting their body to everywhere lol

  • This is one of the coolest pieces EVER. Verdi rocks.

  • verdi or bruckner?

  • God, nice.

  • Wonderful Interpretation in the percussion section. Congratulations to Mr. Seegers and Mr. Schindelbeck

  • also i love how all the violinists lean forward simultaneously at the end of the run 0:14 - 0:18

  • goosebumps

  • This is very good but Maja is playing - that's what I care most about.

  • This sounds really good, as one would expect from the great Berlin Phil under the esteemed Mariss Jansons. Dies irae sounds less terrifying here though than in a performance I heard with Riccardo Muti conducting the Chicago Symphony. Muti's interpretation seemed to emphasize the anger and fury in it more. It's quite a powerful piece of music.

  • Wow, this is pretty powerful sounding.

  • Great to hear the triplets for once!

  • Why does Berlin have to be so far away... sigh

  • @TheGerman6th Yes, for me too, I am not even in Europe! sigh

  • Why does Berlin have to be so far away... sight

  • Muy buen sonido, muy bien equilibrado, genial direccion, genial interpretación, como siempre...

  • unglaublich!! wie immer wunderbar!

  • @Clarita118 yes u r right...

  • Maravilloso, bellisimo.

  • bravissimo

  • Yey! You picked the best bit!!!

  • you can see the passion for music in each one of the musicians. I love it.

  • Performing this is one of the most emotionally powerful things a musician could ever do. What better than the BEST orchestra in the WORLD to do it. I love the music this group makes. It inspires me daily. Keep the posts coming!

  • you know it's not loud enough 0:32 doesn't sound like silence

or maybe you have very good mixers =D
