I can't say that I was really a Robbie Williams fan when my son bought me the Swing When You're Winning CD, but that really showed me what a great singer and performer he is. He has those classic 'Humphrey Bogart' style looks, and a great voice. I also think we Brits appreciate the slight self-irony in his manner, which makes him so endearing. Those who don't recognize that seem to interpret it as arrogance;-)

Dies ist halt eine andere Interpretation von dem Lied. Ich finde, man sollte offen sein für Veränderungen, und muss nicht alles ablehnen, was von dem abweicht, was man kennt. Es ist natürlich Geschmacksache, aber vielleicht kann man gerade jungen Menschen die alten Lieder und Theaterstücke schmackhaft machen, in dem man sie zeitgemäß darbietet.
