@wing0120022000 don wilson never fought with muay thai fighters..all of them was afreid about low kicks..only benny urguidez fought in thailand and lose.
You are absolutely WRONG. Wilson's first and secondThai opponents, Jaidee Pisnurachank and Pongdienoi Prasobchai, both fomer stadium champs from Thailand, and Wilson soundly decisioned Jaidee twice and TKOed Pongdienoi. Then he got lured to fight in Bangkok, where he was forced to drop 8 pounds hours before the fight and lost the decision. Fanta Attapong was the last Thai he fought. On the other hand, Urquidez never fought in Thailand, and never acknowledges his loss to his Thai opponent.
I loved the fighting and although I have retired three times already, I would "go to the mountain" one more time if the money was right....I fought under any set of rules offered and many times in my opponents backyard. The sport of kickboxing improved my martial arts abilities and that was my original purpose for participating. Have fun guys and don't stress out, it is only a sport afterall...your friend, Don
gotta give it up to the guy. I never really cared much about him, but he's pretty great and he's humble. Thats always a great quality to have especially for a fighter as it makes you more formless.
This is one form of kickboxing in which Don Wilson fought against contenders worldwide. You'd better learn English and the modern international kickboxing history.
Hi guys, thanks for just taking the time to even care if I was any good or not as a kickboxer. I fought from 1974 to 2002 and my final record was 72 wins 2 draws and 5 losses. I won 48 by KO. However, I am not a "kickboxer". That is just a sport that I enjoyed and helped hone my martial arts skills. thanks for your support, your friend, Don "the Dragon"
Taking the time to care?! You were my INSPIRATION while I was growing up and training! What do you mean taking time to care?! Of course! For every one written note you see, there's 20 out there that watched your matches, character and determination, and took that as their own cue to train and discipline themselves. I know you were once called the "Rodney Dangerfield" of kickboxing, but let's be real here. You are still our example to follow.
We all know you've been busy conducting seminars and more and more kickboxing enthusiasts are learning from you and hearing your stories. Now, those people are wishing you will start something like "Don The Dragon Wilson American Kickboxing Systems."
I read on an interview that Wilson sad that"if I fight vs Van Damme,I beat him like ,Tyson vs Stallone" I don't thik so, Van Damme isn't a champion like him but he isn't a fake .
Those side kicks are useless against a real Muay Thai fighter. I dont know this Don Wilson guy too well, but im thinking he's never fought a Thai Muay Thai practitioner, i thinking he would do too well... at all.
Whatever one says, he was one of the very first fighters and pioneers from the West in full contact..

Jesus you're spamming crap all over the Don Wilson matches.
Can you just do us all a favour and shut up with your pointless comments and views.
Seriously, is your life so pathetic you need to go and bash oldschool champs for no reason?
