it was bad play he shout rise but not all in you can play only nuts and he have second nuts thats something that you can't just check if you play poker so slow you will be unable to win if someone hat full king there wont be check check he hat cards and position and he back down on it ;)
@Thalexy What the hell are you talking about? He had the second nuts.. He is a donk and should have value bet.. By the way why are you mentioning the flush draw hitting like it was a bad thing? Terrible comment!
@dgilmartin He actually had the 4th nuts... KKs, 88s, and 33s all beat the guy if your looking at it from his perspective but a I agree the flush made it even more valuable to bet the river...
@Thalexy it was bad check if there is any batter cards there wont be check check to him he shout rise and if there is a re-rise well it is his move but he hat to call
ANYONE WHO DOESN'T THINK THIS A DONK FOLD IS A RETARD! ANYONE WITH QUAD 3'S OR KINGS FULL, IS NOT CHECKING THAT RIVER (ONLY EXPECTION BEING THE PLAYER 1ST TO ACT OUT OF THE 3, IF HE WANTED TO TRY AND BE CLEVER). SO ONCE IT'S CHECKED TO HIM ON THE RIVER, HE HAS TO, REPEAT HAS TO, BET!!
@JustinFH just an awful play i agree, he is going broke there if they put him all in, its insanely unlikely someone would check quads or kings full on the river.
@FakeSky011 i have checked a better fullhouse to other ppl because i had a read on them the weaker fullhouse bet i put him all in he didnt want to call but eventually did my point is there is no standard play in poker,. you go by the situation your in... btw i won $760 on that hand.
omg you guys are fucking stupid if he raised who would call??? only hands that can beat him and if som1 is smooth playing a better fullhouse or even better then he doesn't lose any more chips YOU GUYS can see the fucking cards he can't... YOU GUYS would go all in and lose your money he won't ITS NOT ALWAYS about max value.. just think if he bets WHO WOULD CALL OR RAISE only better cards ITS a 3 way not heads up value is less fuck you guys are dumb.
@KillEveryoneKillPhil Chances are he had the best hand. If he didn't doubt his hand, he hand nothing to lose if he raised. If no one called then it would have been the same, but if they did he would have gained.
@sanauj15 Yes sanauj15 if no1 called if he raised it would be the same thats my point do you think if som1 rasied in a 3 way pot and all you had was top pair top kicker do you think you would call that raise on the river? honestly it would be a hard call on a multi table heads up... you see like i say you can see their cards.... i don't think his play is that bad here...
@KillEveryoneKillPhil. And what I'm saying is that he had nothing to lose and everything to gain if he called all-in or even raised. And if he checked like he did, he just had nothing to lose. Which option sounds better?
@KillEveryoneKillPhil U don't need to see the cards. A better full house would have bet the river & likely the turn. It's only pocket kings or pocket 8s U R really scared of & both would have bet the river. you can likely rule out KKs because it makes no sense to bet and call the flop and turn but check the river. 8s you value bet. Anyone holding a three would have bet the turn and scared of a flush checked on the river so they may call a value bet. They may fold but you're damn sure not losing.
@KillEveryoneKillPhil there are 3 diamonds on the board. Actually anyone with a better fullhouse wont call a bet - hes gona raise. And he wont check out of possiotion on the river, because he gives a flush a chance to check behind, so he's gona bet. In possition with a small fullhouse and being checked to on the river and a flush on the board u gotta extract value in a multiway pot.
@Da1337DoOD the guy is a winner at poker your not this guy is live your not his playing in a real game your behind your computer screen no pressure and you can see the cards you have as much time as you like to make him and myself look dumb by thinking of what you think is a good come back witch its not i stand by my statement as i am sure you and other ppl who think there better players then this guy are losers at poker.
@KillEveryoneKillPhil I checked Scott Cook's results at sharkscope. Turns out your information is not accurate, he is not a winning player (atleast not in live tournaments).
@KillEveryoneKillPhil you might be the DUMBEST troll on the internet.you are saying that the check with 5s full in position is what he should do when BOTH guys checked the river to him?u really think theyre going to check kings full to the last guy to act and hope for a value bet so they can reraise him?value bet your 5s full.at least one of them are going to call, if not both, seeing and there was probably some raising going on pre flop and a good chance one of them has ak or kq. PLUS A FLUSH!
@KillEveryoneKillPhil oh yeah, just cause i didnt have enough room, you're a moron and sounds like u are clueless when it comes to poker. get a clue. do u see the trend of everyone disagreeing with you? its not just a coincidence.. get a fuckin clue u troll.
@MrAimsworth You probably would beat me at poker but i couldn't care less, i wasn't one of the commenters trying to up themselves by calling the guy in this video a poor player. You totally missed the point of my comment.
Hey as far as i'm concerned that was a smart move if there are more then 1 players with you till the river no matter what your hand is there's always a chance you can lose :D
He was behind against pocket kings on the flop. He was behind against pocket Kings AND pocket 3's on the turn. It went three handed to the river with heavy betting on the turn. Congratulations to EVERY losing player who thinks this guy misplayed this hand and has the nerve to critique a guy who is dragging pots in the world series while they are misreading hands on youtube.
@torgo4ever nowadays you try to value bet such rivers, because you loose too much money in NOT value betting when you make such a hand (especially if it goes check check on the river, strongest indicator for showdown value but not 2 monsterhands) - but hey, i am only playing cash games, so maybe the check is quite ok in tournaments where you can't rebuy
@EatmySocks1 Okay , in this spot, WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF SEEING THE OTHER TWO GUYS HOLE CARDS, you value bet the river after the two checks and you're faced with a HUGE check raise from either guy. NOW what do you do ? I look forward to hearing all the TRUE donkeys that will say they would shove.
@a3th3r You obviously know NOTHING about poker. The guy was BEHIND pocket Kings, three's AND EIGHTS at the river. He had the FOURTH NUTS in a THREE WAY POT. I would LOVE to hear an idiot like you explain what happened when they value bet the river and then got check raised in that situation only to shove because " I HAD FULL HOUSE" and then have one of the two show pocket 3's and bounce your donkey @ss out of the series. Moron.
@a3th3r spoken like some anonymous hack who has never won a thing in poker. There's a reason you're here trying to second guess amateur players in hands and tournaments that you'll NEVER play. You are probably just an idiot in general if your understanding of poker is any indication. Go back to your free chip poker games and leave real money poker to actual poker players.
@torgo4ever Never ever bet with anything less than the nuts, that's a pretty good way to play poker I guess, if you want to get blinded into oblivion or just hope that everyone else does your betting for you when you have the best hand LMAO.
@a3th3r the issue isn't never ever bet , number one. And that isn't what I said anyway numbnuts. And I'm tired of giving poker lessons to morons. Go ahead and bet up the fourth nuts on the river in a 10,000 buy-in tournament in a three handed pot where you've already got profit sitting there waiting to pick up. Good luck ... DONKEY.
@torgo4ever you're obviously a very bad poker player lol. It's really obvious to every single person other than you that you don't know what you're talking about, you're a nit and I'm sure you get ground down to a stub every time you play.
@torgo4ever If you weren't retarded and looked at how the hand was played it would be quite obvious to you that the other 2 players have KK and 33 and incredibly low % of the time. You think KK or 33 leads out on the first two streets and then checks the river after getting called on both streets or do you think he bets again? You think 2nd to act checks KK or 33 on the river after first position leads out on the first 2 streets in the hopes that the last guy raises? Obviously not. Moron.
@torgo4ever also, as a final piece of evidence that you are a trash poker player, look at the chipstacks, pot size, and bet amounts on each street. There was over 1 million in the pot and Elky had 368K at the end of the hand, and the player with 55 had both other players covered. What the FUCK is he going to get re-raised by in this situation? It's not even possible, count the fucking chips.
@torgo4ever There's a reason everyone within eyesight of the table screams "WOW" really loud at the end of the hand by the way. I'll give you a hint, you're wrong and everyone else is right.
@you2besux the only idiot is your mother's child asshole. only a dumbass like you would play like this dude in the video. he had a chance to take out 2 guys and opted to let them stay...for what?
@you2besux wtf? it doesn't take skill to win a hand.. The skill directly translates into the amount of MONEY you win on a given hand. And this guy, OBVIOUSLY could've won alot more.
@brandonsmith666 I think you misunderstood what he meant.. He was saying that he was not confident enough in his hand to bet.. a terrible check either way
actually the reason the guys with kings checked is they feared someone had 3 of a kind...literally..... or a flush after the river card... as for the guy with the full house... no idea why he checked i cant see a hand that would have beat him except pocket 3's making 4 of a kind.......but the other players checked on the river.... i dont think i would have checked on the river with 4 of a kind.... so... he should have shoved on that logic
@norm4260 that's why you don't shove you are only gonna get called from a strong flush and even there they might be scared of the paired board. You value bet trying to get two callers and hope for a re raise shove that you nap off with a call. But never check in this situation the way the hand played out.
lol that check is the worse check I have ever seen he basically had the nuts there"s only 1 combinations of pocket 3s 3 combos of kings doubt pocket 8s even makes it to the river so we wouldn't even have to worry about that
three diamonds, two overcards, paired board, there are so many hands that could beat his set. So not really a "donkey check", though a value bet still would have been the better move.
If either of the two players with AK had had 33, KK or 88 or whatever I just cannot see them checking. But, it would be hard to call if they check, you bet and then they re raise you all in for example, so I'm not too fussed about the check, it might be overly cautious but what are you going to get called by? I can't see AK calling a value bet on that board.
@immuntocrap2 How about neither? The way the hand has played out, AK isn't going to be the strongest against two opps. Chances are one has a set or made a flush on the iver, if someone bets smallish it looks like they are trying to get more value out of the hand by giving you the odds to call, and if they overbet then no way has AK got the odds to call. Do you play any poker? i've played for 5 years regularly and cashed at numerous live events, so i know a bit about the game.
what the f*ck are you retards on about? what do you think he is double barelling the flop and turn with? KK full? it is OBVIOUS elky has a K and therefore thats already one "blocker". So what are the chances that a) the aggressor has kings full? b) bets flop and turn and then CHECKS the river? It is so obvious he checked the river for pot control and scared of flush/full house.
i dont get it. Cautious dont mean "donkey". If the 55 makes any bet, the best the "doble pairs" can do, is to fold. If any "double pair" calls, with the board paired, it would be suicide for him. 88 or KK its posible. The only gain i see in the 55's place, is not having to show your cards, forcing the others to fold with a strong bet.
@Iammorph I don't see how you can play in the WSOP worrying about KK/33 in that position... a strong bet would be the wrong move.. a thin value bet would be a good play.. one that mathematically would be hard for the top pair/top kicker to fold to. you can't play poker always putting your opponents on the nuts. imo
@Iammorph ohh come on!!! it is total donkey to check that hand in position especially vs elky!!!! if he shoved the river at least one of them wouldve called giving him a much better chance to win the tourney! oportunities like that hardly come but when they do u must take advantage!! please dont try and justify anything else but a horrible check on that river from an amature!!!!
what u on about ??? r they gonna really call his bet with pair of kings??? the board is paired ...there r three dimonds...he's only gonna be called by kings, king-3, 8-8 ... what he has is NOT the NUTS
maybe he was trying to be nice and not take their chips... idk. the only reason anyone should check that hand would be if you were in a cash game with your family. other than that, SHOVE. its the right play, and in tournaments every chip counts.
@frank4080 lol. I thought the river was a 6 of diamonds. I thought there was a STRAIGHT FLUSH draw on board. And this guy is STILL the donkey, not me. I didn't fold a FULLHOUSE

and he won big
its a stupid video title
you2besux 3 weeks ago
@you2besux the only idiot is your mother's child asshole. only a dumbass like you would play like this dude in the video. he had a chance to take out 2 guys and opted to let them stay...for what?
brandonsmith666 3 weeks ago
@you2besux wtf? it doesn't take skill to win a hand.. The skill directly translates into the amount of MONEY you win on a given hand. And this guy, OBVIOUSLY could've won alot more.
So the title is justified.
nejtilsvampe 3 weeks ago
@brandonsmith666 I think you misunderstood what he meant.. He was saying that he was not confident enough in his hand to bet.. a terrible check either way

Wrong idiot on thumbnail
danitz420 3 weeks ago
actually the reason the guys with kings checked is they feared someone had 3 of a kind...literally..... or a flush after the river card... as for the guy with the full house... no idea why he checked i cant see a hand that would have beat him except pocket 3's making 4 of a kind.......but the other players checked on the river.... i dont think i would have checked on the river with 4 of a kind.... so... he should have shoved on that logic
StevenHardware360 3 weeks ago
If he shoved the other two players weren't gonna call, so what's the big deal.
norm4260 4 weeks ago
@norm4260 that's why you don't shove you are only gonna get called from a strong flush and even there they might be scared of the paired board. You value bet trying to get two callers and hope for a re raise shove that you nap off with a call. But never check in this situation the way the hand played out.

lol that check is the worse check I have ever seen he basically had the nuts there"s only 1 combinations of pocket 3s 3 combos of kings doubt pocket 8s even makes it to the river so we wouldn't even have to worry about that
MarketTeen 1 month ago
three diamonds, two overcards, paired board, there are so many hands that could beat his set. So not really a "donkey check", though a value bet still would have been the better move.
lysana01 1 month ago
@lysana01
Dude he is having a full house so he should hope someone has the flush, also it's very unlikely for someone to have pocket 3s, 8s or Ks.

what a terrible check.
ajbbig14 1 month ago
If either of the two players with AK had had 33, KK or 88 or whatever I just cannot see them checking. But, it would be hard to call if they check, you bet and then they re raise you all in for example, so I'm not too fussed about the check, it might be overly cautious but what are you going to get called by? I can't see AK calling a value bet on that board.
nunnylad1 1 month ago
@nunnylad1:You cant see AK calling anything on that board? Are you sarcastic or just stupid?
immuntocrap2 3 weeks ago
@immuntocrap2 How about neither? The way the hand has played out, AK isn't going to be the strongest against two opps. Chances are one has a set or made a flush on the iver, if someone bets smallish it looks like they are trying to get more value out of the hand by giving you the odds to call, and if they overbet then no way has AK got the odds to call. Do you play any poker? i've played for 5 years regularly and cashed at numerous live events, so i know a bit about the game.
nunnylad1 3 weeks ago
what the f*ck are you retards on about? what do you think he is double barelling the flop and turn with? KK full? it is OBVIOUS elky has a K and therefore thats already one "blocker". So what are the chances that a) the aggressor has kings full? b) bets flop and turn and then CHECKS the river? It is so obvious he checked the river for pot control and scared of flush/full house.
in summary the title is SPOT ON
jamesrulez723 1 month ago
@jamesrulez723 he checked the river because he was scared of a flush???
grindfatherg 1 month ago
@grindfatherg oh you mean gordo right, sorry ignore previous sarcasm lol
grindfatherg 1 month ago
i dont get it.
Iammorph 1 month ago
@Iammorph I don't see how you can play in the WSOP worrying about KK/33 in that position... a strong bet would be the wrong move.. a thin value bet would be a good play.. one that mathematically would be hard for the top pair/top kicker to fold to. you can't play poker always putting your opponents on the nuts. imo
TheGreatReprobate 1 month ago
@TheGreatReprobate 88 was out of the question.. no one is calling with 88 on that board on the turn. KK had to have spooked him.
TheGreatReprobate 1 month ago
@Iammorph ohh come on!!! it is total donkey to check that hand in position especially vs elky!!!! if he shoved the river at least one of them wouldve called giving him a much better chance to win the tourney! oportunities like that hardly come but when they do u must take advantage!! please dont try and justify anything else but a horrible check on that river from an amature!!!!
gardenofzebulon 1 month ago
what u on about ??? r they gonna really call his bet with pair of kings??? the board is paired ...there r three dimonds...he's only gonna be called by kings, king-3, 8-8 ... what he has is NOT the NUTS
SyrianSanjoob 1 month ago
@SyrianSanjoob Epic fail..
Solidius77 1 month ago
when i say there r three dimonds i mean for the other guys kings (no good)
SyrianSanjoob 1 month ago
maybe he was trying to be nice and not take their chips... idk. the only reason anyone should check that hand would be if you were in a cash game with your family. other than that, SHOVE. its the right play, and in tournaments every chip counts.
