She just always sounded better in concert, people judge her off TV performances which has random sound people in control and isn't quite the experience as being there in concert. Plus times when she was nervous, etc. She does have good TV performances though. Oh and I find it odd how she censors 'damn' in another cover, even though she's used it in her own songs, but for this she was fine talking about being just a notch on a bedpost and wishing to be the friction in his jeans ... lol wow
