The way I see the second dance is that at first the man is born into the world, alone and innocent of the reality of it. He enjoys his playful youth and is carefree and happy. Then as he reaches maturity he battles against nature (the drums) and the harsh world and in doing so proves himself and secures a mate. The male and female dance as they court each other. Then the finale of the dance is a celebration of the union between the man and the woman. Anyway, that's how i see it.
