  • Nice compilation!!! thx!

  • why do i see a Red Bull logo on the tail of the plane at 1:13

  • @ghettoperson257 Most likely because the restoration was sponsored by Redbull.

  • A real star have appeared the last

  • They were not rare!!!!

  • @ spungie85 it's not a ding. That "ding" is actually the same on both sides, but I has no clue what they are

  • nice footage of the concorde my favorite plane is the 727

  • No music, just airplane noises... Perfect!

  • Great video.

The Tu-154 was by far the best plane in that. But it isnt rare and neither is the Il-76

  • Plane at 3.15 has a ding in its nose. Or am i seeing thing?

  • WOOOOOOOO NIMROD!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent Video toy2day!. This one not only has pictures or "pass-byes", this has landings and To´s. And you caught a quasi-perfect landing of the Concorde (about 3:05 time), Thank you. Great job!

  • I see the Antonov every day at Leipzig/Halle^^

  • @CaRa9273

    Lucky!!!!

  • hate the yak 40

  • @GoPensGo377

why? Its a fantastic aircraft as are most of the Russian/Soviet aircraft

  • @flighty1996 Not safe at all

  • @GoPensGo377

are you kidding me? Soviet aircraft are some of safest and most durable in the world. A lot of them arent well kept and are never serviced. But it has nothing do to with the Aircraft, think before you make acusations

  • @flighty1996 yeah maybe overall Russian planes are safe but the Yak 40 isn't. It has a terrible track record, even killed some of my favorite hockey players this year.,. /watch?v=vMBaTbW7jP4

  • Comment removed

  • @GoPensGo377 it really was the yak 42 not the yak 40

  • @The73slapshot same thing

  • @GoPensGo377 u r right

  • @GoPensGo377

yes i think everybody knows that. They were great players and as a fellow hockey fan they will be missed. But as the report said its nothing to do with the Yak. Its the way they are kept and treated badly that makes them crash, even with all the beatings they get they are good planes, if you give a boeing or airbus that amount of beating it will be destroyed

  • excellent-memory lane up to the skies---thanks for posting a wonderful video

  • Holy crap 3:26, If I was him i would shit my pants!

  • Copit

  • Dude send me a picture of the concord cop it

  • I live in phoenix

  • I guess rarity is relative. I you live near and airport you will see some of these, however, and I grew up and live under a runway approach to Pearson Int'l in Toronto, 707s and DC8s are pretty rare these days, Comets (Nimrod) and Caravelles were always rare though they did pop in on occasion, but where are you going to see an operational L1011? Great job on this wonderful piece toy2day, thank you for the research.

  • The 707 is just amazing, and good job on the video. Can i ask what camera you were using at the time?

  • i like how just cause you havent seen these aircraft, your dumb ass decides to call them rare.

  • @haloisbeat Half of my life I lived under the approach line of the old AThens airport. I watched these planes (all f them except Nimrod) EVERY DAY during my childhood. I mean that these planes are rare to spot on TODAY!!! Ok?? Got it?

  • @toy2day The good old Hellinikon airport right? I love it, I remember those fantastic approach over the sea and then the landing over the houses...

  • @toy2day I dont really care you can find them at any stupid air museum!

  • the awacs is not rare in oklahoma there every where

  • That British jet airliner I think in Africa is a Connaire, I believe. That was the first time I ever seen video footage of it. Very old jet airliner. Douglas borrowed design concepts of it to produce the DC-9, which later became the MD-80 family!

  • @johng669 if you mean the 2:36 it's a BAE Nimrod, which comes from the British Comet.

  • @toy2day Hey! Thanks for bothering to reply. Actually after reading your reply I viewed this video again and it is the airliner at 1:50 which is just before the Nimrod. Is that a Connaire? Did you notice the nose design? It resembles the design of the 787 in my opinion. I guess some engineer had it going on back then!

  • @johng669 Oh, that's a french design Aerospatiale Caravelle and the video is from Colombia!!

  • @toy2day I just realized you posted this amazing video. I really enjoyed it! Thanks!

  • @toy2day I just realized you posted this amazing video. I really enjoyed it! Thanks!

  • I think these Russian planes look pretty cool!

  • Whoever dislikes this video is a treehugger.

  • Whoever dislikes this video is a treehugger.

  • Great videos. Thanks for not polluting the wonderful engine sound with some crummy music. That AN-22 reminds me of a C-133, but gigantic. Love the prop engine sound.

  • douglas, what a work of art

  • 2:53- 3:12 simply the best

  • 3:11 is a concord,am i right?

  • @JT96Kill Totally agree with you there, what an amazing sound. Best of a most excellent bunch in my opinion.

Thanks toy2day for uploading this, it made my day ;)

  • See, this is what youtube vids should be like. Great planes, good quality, nice audio, no flight simulator crap, no annoying titles, captions or any rubbish, just pure and simple. Great vid, thanks.

  • 4:05 looks like a connie on steroids!

  • 1:53 That Sud looks like the Dreamliner!

  • hat is the plane at 5.00?

  • @slh950 An-22

  • whats up with all the simulation lol

  • Likewise the TU-154 is one of the most mass produced airliners in the world. You could say it is rare in Europe or North America cos it's actually banned from their airspace (too loud). Great video though.

  • the c-5 isnt rare at all... it was the workhorse of the us airforce! they are being replaced by c-17s now but still lots of them are still around

  • the DC-6 actually isnt rare. they are used commonly around the world for everything and there is an airline in canada that only uses the DC-6

  • 1:45 il-76 another mass built USSR plane

  • What? 0:25 Yak-40 one of the mass built planes in USSR!

    It is not rare.

  • RED BULL?

  • RED BULL?

  • is this in farnbourgh?

  • what is the first plane?

  • @MostAwsomeGuyEver boeing 707

  • Most of those planes are by no means rare - in fact I have flown on most of them

  • @noonedude101 Well aren't you just great. They are rare to most people who fly to modern international airports. Where you fly normally? The fuckin' Amazon? You Indiana Jones? Mate these planes are rare. Stop being a wankatron.

  • @STColeridge22

Nope - just around the states. Still - not rare. Will you see them pulling up to a gate? Nope. Will you see them if you look out the window while taxiing? Probably.

  • Concore STILL FLIES?!

  • @Latvietis96

Yes - as a high speed engine testbed for the RAF

  • I flew on the ATA Tristar when I deployed to Kuwait in April 2007, returned to the US on it that October. Nice plane with a great cabin crew.

  • hell yeah to the red bull dc-6

  • Congratulations, nice video.

  • Chock full of awesome this video is.

  • 3.06 is a Concorde

  • thanks for posting :D

  • Are they still using Turbo jets on the AWACS version of the 707?

  • @Skippy585 Some do. Others are converted to CFM-56s which are turbofans.

  • @nucleartactician

Ok and so did the UPS DC 8's. I think that is a common engine on Airbus 319's and 737 NG.

  • a few of these planes arent rare!

  • @Samas500 who give a shit they are still cool

  • wing flex = ftw

  • c-5 galaxy isnt rare

  • what you mean with 'no music'?

the sound of screaming jets is the best music ever.

  • 3:06 whats dat plane?

  • nice compilation of rare-oplanes (y)

  • Hi! Thank you for sharing those planes. They really were a rare treat! It's a shame most American carriers are finished with the Lockheed L1011... that was big plane...Thanks again...

  • rare-oplanes

  • was 2:36 a De Haviland Comet?

  • @kriswizzle123

    Yes sir it was.

  • @kriswizzle123 It's a BAe Nimrod

  • pretty darn good! and Rogerio Highlander, I know what you mean. I am in awe of the sound of the engines too.

  • whats the airplane on 0:20??????????????????

  • Tu 154 is not a rare airplane)

  • AWACS, Douglas DC-6 and DC-8, Tupolev TU-154, Yakovlev Yak-40, Ilyushin IL-76, Consolidated Catalina, Sud Aviation Caravelle, BAE Nimrod, British Aerospace/Aerospatiale Concorde, Boeing 727, Antonov AN-22 and AN-124, Lockheed C-5 Galaxy and L-1011 Tristar!

  • The plane at 6:06 is a Tupolov Tu 154 ,a three engined ,short to

mid-ranged airliner like the Boeing 727, and the Hawker Sidley Trident

  • how often do you see a 707

  • @SuperBen316 actually....if you ever see a E-3 AWACs or KC-135 you are seeing a 707....its the same basic airframe....the military made tons of versions out of the 707

  • @SoccerBoy77 i know

  • WTF?!?!?! Is it just me or is it a redbull plane at 1:12?

  • @kjelli123 no that isn't just you :) It's a red bull dc5 if i remember right, i've seen one of those, and it's very loud and slow, so it's a pretty graceful site to watch :D

  • @TheBratProductions Oh it's actually a dc6 :D

  • thanks for not putting music I hate it how people ruin the video with music. I want to hear the engines! And great job of getting all these videos, how do you do it? I can't find videos of these planes anywhere. Can you explain how some of these jets at full power sound like turboprops?

  • 1:25 redbull it has wings

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry to spoil your element. But these aren't all that rare. I mean come on, Concorde and nimrode??

  • Congratulations on assembling the video. I'm from Brazil and wrote that Google translator, because I do not speak English, any clerical error, sorry. I also love the 707 planes and especially the sound of their engines on final approach was exciting. Came up in tears. Even more.

  • @RogerioHighlander THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  • @RogerioHighlander Thumbs up my good man from Brazil!

  • 2:55 is the CONCORD NOT RARE AT ALL

  • @Nat2370 no not really but please send me a message if u see one fly. cuz u wont
