(Artistic license, plastic surgery, etc.) But it still makes an interesting back story for a ghost.

That's kind of how I feel about it. I like seeing them happy, even if the couples are fictional (& not just in cartoons). They make me laugh, cry etc when I see them in different situations & it makes me feel good. It doesn't matter to me if the couple is officially together or not, if they like or love each other, they're still a couple & when two people admit their feelings for each other & agree to go on a date, even if we don't actually see said date, then they're getting together.

I very much have to agree with you on this list. And you definatly nailed number 1. The later seasons cleaned up the mess that is Ghostbusters 2. It's getting me psyched for Ghostbusters 3 : Hellbent.

I even read some ridiculous stuff that her glasses had to change cause some people thought they would scare kids, while having stuff like Samhaim in the cartoon at the same time - a logic of its own. Still a great cartoon and a real classic, especially the older stuff.

In the Ragnarock and Roll episode when Egon says "Janine" his voice full of sadness and regret... Wow, for a cartoon, that's some pretty powerful stuff. I mean, the world is on the verge of ending, the Ghostbusters know they are about to lose their lives, and of anyone and anything Egon can focus his final thoughts on.. it's Janine. It is obvious that he loved her for quite a long time before he finally admitted his feelings to her.
Yes, I've always considered that to be the moment when he realised his feelings, but didn't act on them for whatever reason. That's why I think it's so important.
When Janine says "Just realising it really is your MIND I like" is the moment I consider to be when she realised her feelings for him ran deeper than just a physical attraction. It blows the so called theory out of the water that she only wants one thing from him.
HA! That was really cute...I loved your little subtitles: "The Hug", "The Realisation", etc. I really wish the writers would have thrown us a bone and at least threw us a couple of date sequences after "Janine, You've Changed" but that's what fanfiction is for I guess ;)
