  • If you’re interested in the problems with the world like social problems, environment ,education, politics, banking, and government even if you have an ounce of question or doubt on the problems you know that exist in this world please watch Zeitgeist Addendum here on youtube and Zeitgeist Moving Forward which is part two. It answers most of the problems we have today.

  • @Shnimberz Zeitgeist fabricated so much information about the monetary system that its surprising that they even put that garbage out.

  • @RaabBlog What did they say that was false about the monetary system?

    Do you know anything specific?

I'm just trying to learn and I don't mean to accuse you of anything I just want your thoughts on it.

  • @Shnimberz like how it all works. how the money gets from the federal reserve to the people. i saw it like a year ago so i dont remember exactly but thats the jist of it. most of the other information was accurate and i agree that its great movement. you should only beleive half of what they say tho.

  • @RaabBlog Oh ok.

Thanks for the heads up and I'm going to try and learn more so i can judge for myself.

  • oh you dont want violence, but yet support Arab Spring? What a handjob of a man

  • wrong about how the tea party was started

  • @jag10- yeahhhh Marxism uelped the elites... last time i checked the rich russians ran away from communist Russia and the royal family was slaughtered under lenin....

  • I don't understand peoples problem with eskow. he's pretty insightful.

  • eskow is a fucking old man gtfo

  • americans are lazy. when the people from UK didn't like something they protested together.

  • @edgarbm95 It's not that Americans are lazy, it's that we are extremely altruistic and obsessed with money.

  • @CHAOSoriginal wait, AMERICANS are altruistic? the same people who think all poor people are just lazy bums who needs to work harder? and how can you be altruistic and obsessed with money at the same time? do you know what the word "altruistic" means? i think you meant to use the antonym of altruistic, which would be selfish or self-centered.

  • Total market collapse is what could get Americans to get up.

  • And this dolt defended Jamie Dimon last week?

    Yeesh.

And the hits keep coming - tea party started at the Merc? LoL

Arab Spring has been on the shelf since Bush 1.

I can't believe people still buy this progressive revisionist bullshit.

  • The solution? The Plan.

  • you first have to get MAD!

  • so, are you suggesting us to be more China like?

Socialism is the way to go in the society today?

Justifying , the undermining of personal freedom for the greater good of the country?

If you are , America is not the America I know anymore

  • @y512516 That is exactly the opposite of what socialism is...youre thinking of a Stalinistic Dictatorship, there is a world of difference between them. BTW thinking about it...the US constitution is a lot more socialist than you think.

  • @y512516 Government without socialism... you mean like Britain Pre-1900. Oh what fun, lets bring back work houses for the poor, children losing limbs in factories, rivers poisoned with Arsenic, millions dying in potato famines, and only a tiny fraction of people having any money to spare in the richest country on Earth. THOSE WERE the result of government with no socialist policies - we don't need to speculate on what the outcome will be. That's what the war of independence was AGAINST.

  • @neverfearchrisishere

Britain, pre-1900, under Victoria was an era of prosperity and peace.

Remember Marx and other social engineers worked and lived in London during that period.

Up to 40% of London's population were immigrants during that time.

The industrial revolution created that wealth and prosperity.

Socialism does not create wealth or prosperity, it protects the elite class.

And why Oligarchs prefer malthusian socialism - it's a win/win.

  • @jag10 pre-1900, under Victoria was an era of prosperity and peace, yes, but one with the greatest disparity in wealth ever seen. An Era of huge wealth, where people were allowed to starve on mass and most families so poor that the children had to work so they could eat

Please tell me. How does a system which offers nothing to help the less privileged have a chance in life not protect the rich Elite -whilst one which helps the poor have a less retched life Protect the Elite?

  • @jag10 If you think socialism protects the elite, you clearly have no idea what socialism actually is. Go read Upton Sinclair, George Orwell, George Bernard Shaw, and Bertrand Russel. Then go take a look at the Scandinavian countries, they don't have super rich teenage celebrity girls and homeless people like we have.

  • @thirteendays13

I know that socialism protects the elite, Why do you think the elite support it?

The elitists you mention were part of the progressive elitist movement which supported hitler, the crown, social engineering through science and technology.

The homeless in America (approx 0.7% of population) use an average of 40,000 per year in public services.

How much does the Queen provide?

You know that Scandinavia is bankrupted, new graduates are leaving, businesses are moving - right?

  • @jag10 I guess it all depends on how you define the elite then. If you consider George Orwell to have been an elitist, a man who struggled with poverty until he landed a decent job writing, then I am going to have to disagree with your standards. The economic elite are the billionaires, and no, they don't want true socialism where everyone makes roughly the same amount of money. I am guessing the $40,000 must include the bridges they sleep under and the roads they ambulate on.

  • @jag10 The men I mentioned most definitely did not support Hilter. Orwell wanted England to fight in WWII sooner than what it did. For god's sake, you just demonstrated that you never read a word they ever wrote, which is probably why you are so backwards on the subject of socialism.

  • @jag10 The Cia world fact book seems to disagree with you on Scandinavia. Everyone of them has a lower percentage of public debt in comparison to gdp than the U.S. It also clearly states that all of them are prospering economically. They have lower unemployment, a lower gini index, a higher income per person, and they live longer than we do. The facts don't exactly seem to suggest that they are hurting all that much.

  • Dubstep Womps

  • I have a Chase account. They do have a great customer service at least for me lol.

  • It depends on how gradual the collapse is. Al Gore used a great metaphor in his documentary: "If a frog, jumps into a container of boiling water, it immediately jumps out, but if it jumps into a container of lukewarm water, and then the temperature is slowly increased, you end up with a boiled frog" If the collapse is all-of-a-sudden, people will rebel. If it is so gradual that people don't notice it, they will never do anything, and Wall Street will rule the country.

  • Damn it seems like banks are getting more and more shady every day

  • I will not do biz with Chase. Ineeded help reducing our loan payment, they said "No, we dont feel you need it". Fkem! I wont do biz with Union Bank. We needed a line of credit on our house that has equity, they said "NO" you have extensive obligations. So I applied to reduce our payments. They asked for at least 150 pieces of documents. Then they send a letter saying you missed 3 documents so we cancelled your file. I called and said Ill fax u what u need right now! they said no your time is up.

  • @elfornse It is easy to find quotes making any Republican look like a moron and that goes for the Democrats as well. My question is why anyone would agree with the Republicans on lowering taxes for the rich and cutting Medicare and Social Security. We all know they are corrupt (including the democrats), but how can you agree that the people that paid the most for our congressmen and women should get the benefits???? Facts are against their way of thinking...so is it stupidity??

  • @elfornse

Bush's admin did it seven times.

  • @elfornse My point is we are dealing with different numbers in a different time under different circumstances. Just like...I'll point out that Mitt Romney didn't give a shit about homosexuality in the 90's when he was going up against Ted Kennedy but *now* he is pandering to a group of inbred christian neo-cons who want to turn this into the xstian version of Saudi Arabia...2006 Obama is not the same as 2011 Obama and I'm sure that can be said of many politicians and policies and voting habits.

  • I think we should let america fall, fuck all these corporations.

We'll let it fall, so it can be rebuilt with something new.

  • @ArtistikVision Corporations and corporate funded politicians have robbed the US blind. Its sad to see the common man losing out on every aspect. If the US falls, only the common man suffers, these corporations are multi national and will just move to another country like a leech when they have sucked the US dry. They should be made accountable. Onshore jobs should be created and money should again come back to the hands of the people so that the economy can stabilize.

  • The only way to make real change is if the people rise up and rebel. Protest! It worked in the middle east, it worked is Wisconsin, it'll work all across America and the world. No this bullsh!t tea party cr@p but real protest, real change!

Use social media, town halls and your local clubs to gather strength and fight for social justice! America needs a revolution, not violent but loud and strong. If they don't change now they will be left behind by everyone else...

  • @elfornse This is not 2006.

  • Give Eskow a break, Cenks on vacation all you haters are just acting like childish assholes, grow the fuck up and get over your little crush.Richard is doing a fine Job.

  • If you take away the dolar menu at McDonalds people will go apeshit

  • Eskow is right but not on those points/ All it takes is higher unemployment and gas prices and the American ppl will rise up. It's just a matter of time.

  • The extent to which the U.S Empire is run by unelected corporate criminals is sickening.

    .

Before the Great Depression, there was zero regulation, the bankers and speculators disconnected with reality and what happened?

Before the 2008 crash, Wall Street had, compared to any other nation, zero regulation thanks to the war criminal Bush and what happened?

    .

This corporation has been found guilty of manipulating the non-regulated market, so it should be liquidated, not "settlement" with the state.

  • God , can we get rid of this "Clearly they dont get simple math" commercial, "If you hold 14 trillion 1 $ bills we would reach the moon" , "If you buy 14 trillion bricks, you could build the Great Wall a 1000 times" , "If you buy 14 trillion diapers, you could put a diaper on All life form in this universe" .. damnit

    :D

  • Ir would be ironic if Americans followed the Arab Spring. Many people thought the US brings democracy to the world but if americans followed the Arab Spring it would be the other way around: Arabs showing the way to democracy to the US.

  • Richard is a little too optimistic. Not because it hasn't been done as he is correct in making clear, the Arab's overthrew their dictators but there is a large difference between the Arabs and Americans. Most people around the world know that their government and media is giving them propaganda. Americans don't and will tow what the mainstream media tells them. It's far more dangerous when it by using effective propaganda than with force and coercion.

  • Give nihilism and hopelessness a chance.

  • @weejockpoopongmcplop

Whatever gets us to mayhem and catastrophe the fastest.

  • When things get bad enough the bankers and the CEOs will end up getting executed by the working men and women. Cause when they have robbed and stolen us blind and caused the problems. There are in the economy today

  • In the end, in this case, violence is the only way being our political system is corrupted beyond repair. Look at where the most liberal president in our history(this according to the GOP and many democrats)has gotten us. Right of the center, the worse place to be other than all the way right. NOTHING has changed for the better, and it's not just because Obama has done nothing but every president and congress before. It's the system that's flawed, there is no fix except total collapse.

  • @TheUSMetalhead

    Obama is liberal?

  • My horrible thought is that it would be best for the United States to just completely fall apart. Sometimes a thing is so broken, it’s just best to sweep it aside and build something new in its place. I tend to feel bad for thinking this way.

  • Americans will never revolt until they have nothing to lose. The government designed the system so the average american is at least slightly satisfied with their high dept, giving money to wall street life. The government puts a subconscious fear that if a revolution starts, we will lose our house, our cars, our flat screen tvs, etc....and people would rather give their money to corruption rather than lose all their small luxuries.

  • @Vr4z1el But if there's a revolution, who is there to take your house or car away?

  • @no2religions No one, but we value these things so much that we dont want to even weaken the stability that we have them. The government knows these things keep us happy and also too lazy to revolt, so they take advantage of it. They know that as long as we can eat our fast food in front of our 50" flat screens then they can screw us any which way they want. And we take it, yes we bitch and complain about it when it happens but we get over it by eating a pizza.

  • Richard Eskow is one of the best TYT hosts, EVER.

  • Cenk getting a sex change operation, he be back in a few months

  • A tax revolt is the only way to get the attention of our so called Representatives. If we don't feed the beast it will die. Money talks....

  • @g2000m agreed.....this is what the so called tea baggers were supposed to be so big on. Too bad they turned out in huge numbers acting like stark raving mad idiots and racists. They lost all credibility to most of the rest of the population. Now we'll have to organize a whole new organization. Hopefully this new organization will act with more intelligence and composure instead of yelling over the people they are trying to influence.

  • @g2000m If you don't feed the beast it gets hungry and uses violence to take the food. You think no one ever thought of not paying tax before? :)

  • @no2religions I never wrote this was an original idea. If this is done in mass and the so called TPTB used violence it would come back at them ten fold. Problem is we as a nation are divided in so many ways that we could never organize such a protest. Even you, a Canadian, needed to place a fly in the ointment for just suggesting such a plan :)

  • My thought on Richard's final question is that most people (myself included) won't truly revolt until things are so bad that they no longer fear incarceration, physical harm or death. And unfortunately, we haven't gotten to that point yet

  • Um, oookay then...

  • Maybe its time for americans to tell the Wall Street fat cats and the ceo's of big banks the following......We don't need your dirty love any more.

  • I just bet Richard DID a lot of work in Eastern Europe during the Soviet era, that accounts for his gd retarded far-left shithole politics! We don't need his kind in America, get lost, git--git

  • @genie0390 Yes, whats more american than you tards aiding and abetting massive bankster fraud

God Damn the corporate confederate states of Bank of America

  • @dffykvn

why not provide a brief outline of how the US banksters harmed/defrauded you? otherwise STFU you ignorant swine

  • @genie0390 (2000 Associated Press) F.B.I.- Wall Street involved in "epidemic of fraud" Google it. The S.E.C. F.B.I. Associated Press, Fox news, ABC & NBC news have all filed factual articles and outlines of fraud committed since 2000. Not that anyone's going to hear or read any of it when their busy with their head buried in the sand or worshiping the almighty dollar right alongside the oligarchy that now owns our United States.

  • @bigge525

the 2000 AP article proves that pres Clinton left a legacy of bank deregulation, and corrupted bank lending practices when he mandated Fannie Mae in 1998 to go after banks redlining poor communities and creating the housing boom

further, the SEC failed to properly audit people like Madoff because they were overly impressed with his background. A simple check of security certificates as is routine would have caught this crook

failure belongs to bureacrats and progr polticians

  • @genie0390

and Bush and conservative politicians fixed that by... by... oh wait.. they did the exact same thing :( (even assuming your premise is true, which I don't, it's not a progressive problem but corporate money corrupting politics problem).

  • @dreamcoyote

FDR proposing that home ownership be a human right in a Bill of Rights, Carter's CRA, Clinton's enhanced CRA, his mandating Fannie Mae to go after bankers to loosen lending rules, Janet Reno threatening bankers with prison terms, subprime mortgages to make it all work is NOT a progressive problem? bankers were forcing politicians to write toxic loans?? what a crock! You liberal pricks will never accept blame for any of your inane policies

  • @genie0390

wait.. how many bankers were prosecuted? oh? none?

they were *forced* to shift, in some cases, >%70 of their mortgages to sub-prime lending?

yeah.. they were completely innocent and were doing it at gunpoint :/

you're idiotic defense of big business and completely ignoring republican inaction are inexcusable.

you claim progressives won't take blame but deny *any* to the banks themselves. nice hypocrisy.. go back under your bridge.

libs AND repugs F'd it up, but banks are GUILTY 2

  • @genie0390 Unsucessful troll is unsuccessful

  • @robertrulebirtannia ---

That's what I've been trying to say for months bow, but the clown don't get it.

  • We will all drown in a see of dispare when we realise to win is to breath our last breath and to lose is to keep living.

Live your life through someone else coz when you fail it won't be your fault

  • Replace wallstreet with floorstreet! :P

  • Nothing will change, until you have the perp walk of the week for some corporate asshole. If I stole $100 from you and then as punishment, had to give $10 to another party, I'd keep stealing.

Put the lazy stealing scum in jail.

  • Its a sad day when a corporation gets off the hook for stealing tens of billions of dollar, but if you rob a bank you get 15 minimum. As far as what people should do, I say protest against your congressman, whitehouse, and the bankss

  • ww (w.h) ermes-pres (s.c) om/completin (g.h) tm

The truth about the failure of the american revolution

  • But but but isn't this all the fault of the regulations that try to keep abuses from happening...if we just let the rich do whatever they wanted with THEIR MONEY! then we'd ALL be better off!

We should kill everyone who parrots that bullshit before we're all dead

  • I like Stiglitz´definition of WallStr.´s favorite "self-regulation": it´s an oxymoron!

  • The poor have to give peas a chance!

If they don't die from our austerity measures the ceo of jp morgan won't be able to by a bigger yacht this year!

  • Money talks? In America...NO. Now go back to watching Man Vs Food and dancing with the Stars ya fat fucks...go back to sleep.

  • the ad at the end is awesome

  • we need a leader

and people need to stand up

and stop ignoring all the fucked up shit thats happening now in this america

  • ugh hate growing up in this america.

  • Ecwaufisxtreme, Sarah plain shouldn't be president, just because she is deeply religious doesn't mean she can run a country and btw she says some stupid stuff

  • What would happen if we just got rid of Wallstreet?

  • @echosixnoble

You'd lose half of Congress? Ta dum dum cha!

  • @echosixnoble Probably anarchy followed by a more communal way of life as opposed to the individualistic ego driven power, power driven world we currently inhabit. It would take a war first though the wealthy won't give up their power or their possessions without a fight.

  • @echosixnoble Life for the average American would become even more dire and every other stock exchange on earth would receive a massive influx of investment.

  • When's JIMMY DORE coming back? I miss Cenk, but I know he's busy, etc, so I'll settle for Jimmy.

  • can anyone explain to me what this story is about? i'm a little younger than the average viewer here and didn't understand this story too much.

  • @J3yblivion

    In broad strokes:

The SEC caught JP Morgan Bank defrauding numerous states by tampering with the bidding process for investing municipal bond proceeds. They now have to pay what amounts to a slap on the wrist as punishment.

Richard then goes on a brief tangent about the social permisiveness of corporate corruption, asks what to do about it without advocating anarchy, while encouraging people not to lose faith in the country.

  • Escow's hopeful and optimistic that we'll be able to defeat Wall Street before America falls apart for good.

Thumbs up if you believe the exact opposite.

  • @lukegreen37

    Thumbed up a thousand times.

  • @lukegreen37 My immediate instinct is to click "thumbs up", but I respectfully hope you're wrong (at least for the sake of the 300+ million peeps that live in the USA)

  • @lukegreen37 lol, if you defeat wallstreet then america's economy will fall apart. there is nothing wrong with wallstreet. its what made america

  • @lukegreen37 Sorry Eskow. I like ya pal, but I gotta side with lukegreen37 here

  • i miss Cenk. He has a lot more charisma

  • @Ricnasty77 yeah man where the hell is Cenk?

  • @Atrofia2 Hes still on vacation, they said it was his first REAL one since TYT started so hes gonna enjoy it for as long as possible. =P

  • @Atrofia2 @Ricnasty77 Vacation till monday.

  • @Atrofia2 Cenk is hosting Prime Time TV show, Countdown on MSNBC (not kidding) you can catch him on! The better ratings he gets the more money he brings in and the liberals will get a much larger voice!

  • @Atrofia2 On MSNBC

  • @Atrofia2 Vacation.

  • @Atrofia2 It's already been said many times he's on vacation.

  • @NikEgUy101 thanks friend, I havent heard the vacation thing. I read some comments that he was fired, thats the reason why i asked. Thanks for the info

  • =_= If ONLY they would burn bankers at the stake...Yes, I know that I'm being a bit judgemental maybe, but I'm sick of hearing how much these people are ripping off honest Americans like my parents. I'm only fifteen years old and have not yet gotten a job. It makes me SICK to think that when I grow up, I'll pretty much have no choice but to get defrauded by these people so they can make a few bucks extra.

  • Guy robs a bank with a gun, and the police "Investigate".

Crash the world economy, and defraud millions of Americans, and it's a "Witch hunt"?

What does it take to make me do something? Already passed that line, in 2009!

  • why are we just seeing this now if it was uploaded on July 15

  • eh 4th...

  • motherFUCK Wall Street!!!!!

  • 2nd!!! yes!! ......Naa i really dont give a F**k

  • first
