Landing at Gibraltar from GB Airways A320

Fantastic! I love landing there, even if it feels a bit dicey flying in low over the sea, to suddenly land, & hopefully miss the rock!!! :-)

I used to be on the border guard in Gibraltar,before the border was open. I have also guarded the Govenors Palace.

We are going back next Easter for a long weekend.

First time in 30 years.

I hope it hasn't changed too much, it was a very unique place..........

I flew in to gib w/ Monarch on 16/7/07 and as the plane was approaching the plane must have dropped about 10ft because of wind shear! No bumpy landing though which was good. Everybody was clapping afterwards.

Yep, the view is to the north...the Rock is on the other side of the plane...as usual, picked the wrong side to sit on!!!

And the winds picked the wrong way to blow. Must have been Easterly that day. If the winds would have been blowing the other way, then you would have landed the other way and been facing south and would have seen the rock outta your window! Then it would have had to turn round and drive all the way back down the run way to the terminal :)

i live in la linea, just across the border from the airport, and when a plane comes in they have to close the road to allow the plane to land.
