  • the cable near the tip n i usually send the tip right through.the shaft turn sideways acting just like one big dive stringer ,is where i got the idea really,2 sizes, bigger one for bills.i only use um when get swells i noneed worry bout slipping n boat direction. great to have that auto pilot.haha might help you ,maybe humbug but i wouldnt have landed da 163 n 182 lb ahi's on a luky double a few yrs back.good luck keep da vids commin i like em.G'BLESS U D'BESS BRUDDA.

  • my harpoon is 3/4 in. stainless shaft foot n half long.sharpened one end rounded other .good quatity cable 3- 4 feet depends how long u boat .weld cable 5-7 in from sharp of shaft.handle lenght to your liking. gripping material one side other end drill hole just enough to sngly fit shaft.my cable is insulated so no worry bout scratchin hull.

  • what might help you is to use a fly harpoon gaff.i found that % of me landing a green or sizeable fish was better cause .i put my late stepdads 23' grady in a wide circle ,depnds what side he commin in, throttle down low enuf to keep line tight .secure harpoon to kleet ,poke um,n let um "cruise" till he ready.
