I never forget the experienced. he's so amazing, his voice never changed in a bit. got the chance to watch him for two more times.

  • both top rated comments have to do with creepers

    huh.

  • it melts my heart, never fades..my song for life..i love engelbert..

  • I hear footsteps slowly slowly walking *BOOM!*

  • Perfectly executed. The backing could have had a bit more fullness to it, though. The backing to the original of this song is better, but in this case, is compensated for by the beautifully powerful voice of Engelbert.

  • He is the voice!

  • I don't get tired of listening to all of his songs, he is an awesome person/singer. And he brings back so memmories with his songs. When he sings the Ave Maria it brings tears to my eyes.

  • @fleabag500 Are you going to put a rubber ducky into my bathtub, hitman 47?

  • never tire of this song Lovely.

  • This is weird! I am a singer, and my stage name is Ricky Dollar. Well, I usually go by Richard Dollar (sounds more professional I guess) and I perform at smaller venues (hotels, conferences, etc.) crooning songs just like this. I should say, similar to this - I am not in the same league as Humpy by any stretch of the imagination!

  • @mobrules29 hahaha nice one Deece, glad you got the reference. How are you anyway? Doing well I hope. Say hello to Ruth and the kids, and I will see you soon.

  • @coltsuperocean10 Ha ha ha im lying on my side in stitches not had a laugh that good in long a while!! You obviously can't differentiate between what is good and what is not,you have given me the biggest grin imaginable...- in fact if i grinned any more my face would rip apart, i can only thank you my friend keep up the good work!!

  • @samjames1933 ......hahahahaha and you obviously can`t differentiate between a serious comment, and a joke comment!! Rick Dollar is a made up name. I just wanted to see how many retarded idiots would reply? One and counting by the look of it!! Feel stupid now?

  • Saw him and loved him

  • In listening and viewing it again, I may've been wrong. I haven't seen him in forty years (since the 70's) nor heard his songs recently. His voice iS very rich, but with unfamiliar nasal tones. I think he's very classy and talented. In my youth, in the 70's, he was a wonderful reprieve from the psychedelic-drug-infested music that was so popular then.

  • Engelbert became a favorite of mine 45 years ago. My first love introduced his music to me. Whenever hear him sing this song I can't help but remember my first sweetheart. I could listen to Enge sing forever. Thank God for YouTube! :)

  • @worldsbestgrama : I don't know where you live, but if you are one of the world's best grandma's, I hope you get to see him. He's totally amazing. My husband used to play his songs for me on his guitar. (Not the same, but nice).

  • I have seen him about 10 times, as recently as last year in PA, and he's even better now in his early 70's. The voice is great, and he is looking great...far better than people like Kenny Rogers. Love this guy! Some people on here, like rus24 have real problems and should have them attended too.

  • @Nethie1 ... lucky you. I'd love to be able to see him in person. i was 12 when i first heard him.

  • I have loved Engelbert since I was a little girl, I remember telling my mum that i was going to marry some one like him and I was only 6 fourty years ago.

  • That is not Engelbert Humperdinck, and the voice is not his either.

  • @susantabi

How wrong you are. Go and see him once. You'll know how wrong you are. His voice is very rich, and he looks great.

  • wonder wonderful singer so talented so wonderful such a most talented man with fabulous music so so enjoyable!

  • @rus524 , U R a asshole!

  • @rus524 YOU COULDNT BE MORE WRONG AND YOU CANT SPELL ANYWAYS , OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE VERY UNTALENTED, DUMB, AND JEALOUS, KEEP YOUR UNHEARD OF COMMENTS TO YOURSELF OR STAY IN YOUR PERSONAL MENTAL INSTUTION OF LIES, GO AWAY WITH YOUR FOUL MOUTH, YOU ARE DISGUSTING, AND THAT IS OUR COMMENT

  • @rus524 and YOU remain a major-league ASSHOLE!

  • @rus524 You are an insult to anyone who suffers from mental difficiencies, because you are a real jerk, and make stupid comments to match your IQ.

  • dear gerry do you have some one in your dreams 50 years ago some where in this world ?????????

  • I've been a fan of Engelbert Humperdinck for almost 50 years. Mmmm ... I love to hear his voice. A favorite of my youth .... and I still listen to him. Love that I can find videos of him on YouTube. Closest I'll ever get to seeing him in person. He is definitely beyond compare. The way he sings a love song ... Oooohhh! :D

    THANKS FOR POSTING,

    CHOEYSANGEL

  • hancer, the other thing is, Engelbert inspires devotion. His fans don't just enjoy his music, they - we - truly love him. And that's a testament to the fact that he is a genuinely nice person, gentle and kind. You can't say that about all performers.

  • Nobody is ever too young or too old to be an Engelbert fan. I've been one for forty years, starting when I first heard the Release Me album when I was six. The first record album I ever bought with my own money was After the Lovin'. Could have gone for Donny and Marie or The Carpenters, but it had to be Engelbert.

All I'm saying is, you're never too young or too old to fall hopelessly in love with Engelbert.

  • I totally agree! I've also been a fan for almost 40 years and still thinks Engelbert has one of the greatest voices out there!

  • I don't like Country/Western songs...except when Engelbert sings them.

  • A lovely song. Engelbert sings it just beautifully.
