We need to be a vessel for the H.S., once our main focus is giving Glory to Christ, The Holy Spirit (who's job it is to glorify Christ) will work through us. @souldoutchild I agree many choir have gotten into just singing and singing with the understanding, so I'm not totally disregarding what you are saying, I'm just saying, for me when I minister I don't always have that Pentecostal Experience but that doesn't dictate ineffectiveness, just happens like that sometimes for me.
@souldoutchild Don't get me wrong, I love being in those atmospheres where the anointing is so Heavy you can barely get yourself together. But in those times where it doesn't fall, and you are living right, you are a clean vessel, let God handle the rest. Although you may not see the effect of what you sang, preached, or danced. It may have touched someone later on that week, month, or year, when situations come they then can apply what was put out.
@souldoutchild, idk, I can only speak from my experience. There were times when I would lead Praise and Worship and I didn't get the response that I felt I should have gotten from the congregation. From then on I realized that my attention should not be targeted towards a reaction but simply keeping myself to be a pure vessel and let God do the rest. Even when I preach, I'm not preaching to get reactions, God handles that.
Maybe I come from a different frame of mind as it relates to worship but shouldn't there be worship going on? They sound good but where is te power of God? Just asking.
@souldoutchild I feel where you are coming from, being a choir director/muscian/singer I understand that everytime you minister the anointing may not fall. I love being in those atmospheres, but sometimes it doesn't fall. Sin could be the cause sometimes, but sometimes it just isn't a conducive atmosphere for the spirit o fall
@tenorvocalz215 is it ministry if the anointing doesn't fall? I have a praise and worship leader at my church that everytime she takes the mic she is effective. That to me says ministry 101. She lives what she sings and because of that the glory falls. To clarify I'm not judging, but I am concerned. I'm looking at their faces against the words their singing and they don't match. On top of that I feel nothing. And these are powerful words. But to each his own.

We don't know how they felt at the time. Traveling may have worn them out. They could have literally just been getting off the bus. It happens like that with choirs. And you have to get up and sing anyway. If you look for God, you will find him. If you look for man, you will find him. And I'm done. Sing Kevin Nem!!! For God's glory.
