  • And, by the way, except the specific case of phrasal verbs for French people, I totally agree with all your statements about the best way to improve fluency. I've experienced exactly the worst way of learning English, and it was a failure. I'm happy to see that what I personally did to improve my English is close to your method. Please, "continue" (Fr. verb) or "go on" (sounds more natural, I think so ! :-).

  • @hanterkant Thanks! ;-))

  • "Phrasal verbs are easier to remember than the formal verbs"... Well, except when you are French ! The formal verbs come mainly from French. Ex. to surrender ("se rendre" with an English pronunciation), to extinguish ("éteindre" close to "extinction"), to invent ("inventer"), to reconcile ("réconcilier"), etc. Believe me, in the case of French, learning phrasal verbs is a nightmare, while using the "formal" verb close to the French verb we use every day is so easy...

  • @hanterkant Well, I take your comment on board, I never thought of it this way - I guess because I'm not French! ;-) Anyway - I knew that there are loads of French words having found their way into English over the centuries, and apparently they're mostly forming part of formal vocabulary. Thanks for pointing this out!

  • Very Useful..!

  • @swaps08 Thanks!

  • @EnglishHarmony

    You are very good teacher.

I am from rural India and internet is the only medium for me to learn English. If possible please give me some suggestions.

I wish i could join your class.

    Thanks !

  • @swaps08 Thanks for your comment, but I'm not a teacher... No, really, I'm just a guy who figured out how to start speaking fluent English after I spent years struggling with my English speech. And my English Harmony System that I created with help of my native English speaking friend can do the same job - but ONLY if your general English knowledge is already good.

It's all about improving English fluency, NOT learning English. Sorry... ;-)

  • Thanks for reply.

    :)
