How is the B string and the electronics? I'm thinking of getting one for my band. I have two extended range basses and I absolutely hate rattly/floppy B. It's also a plus if the preamp doesn't suck.
i was jus checking this Brice HXB 5 string @ RONDO's web...though i'm not much of a cinco (5) stringer bassist cause i prefer the classic quatro (4) bass..but this bass of ur's really kicks!..the sound is immense..& the presentation of ur incredible Bass Guitar is AwEsOmE bRo!..thx 4 ur FIVE "Apothis"! =0]
Hey man im looking at that bass to buy off the same website. Is it a good choice? I look into all the little things about it that i like and it looks pretty sweet
@bamboy1104 Yeah I'd say it's a pretty good bass, I have no complaints for it other than I sometimes forget if pulling the volume knob up switches it to active or passive haha.
@GoodOldDeathMetal Yup! Mine was an older one, and it had a bit of buzz at the first fret of the 6th string but keep in mind mine was used as well as old. Im considering getting another one to do some projects with. RondoMusic's got my approval anytime.
@cjrizzle93 Oh cool. Thanks for the input! I think I might get one. I'm thinking about droppin the Warwick Fretless for a cheaper fretless and a nice acoustic guitar. I don't use the bass enough to warrant having such an expensive one, plus I'd like have a 5 string with roundwounds.
@GoodOldDeathMetal WELL! The warwick was heavy as hell and the neck was very hard to play on unless your use to the thickness. The Brice was built very much like an Ibanez, its just 1/4 the price and looks better. The brice was very smooth and enjoyable to play. Easy on the hands and eyes. I got alot more compliments on the Brice than the War too. Go figure...
To be honest, I don't have much experience with basses. However, in my opinion its awesome, the action's set great, haven't had any fret buzz, and it's stayed intonated since I had it. It also holds tuning for long periods of time. Hope that helps some
lol@ the elitist retard trying to complain about top and bottom strings, it REALLY isn't a big deal XD
nice bass bro, might be getting the fretless version, it's almost scary how cheap their shit is but they never seem to be shitty quality. XD i have an 828 pro from them and it just won't quit

@GoodOldDeathMetal lol thats exactly what I did. I got rid of my Warwick Corvette Std 5 and got a brice bass and an agile acoustic :D

@cjrizzle93 haha wow so I'm not crazy. How does the Brice hold up to the Warwick?

Man, Rondo's stuff is just awesome for the price they put out, I highly doubt I'll ever buy a big name axe again lol

hi can you tell me what´s the string spacing @ the bridge on this bass? Thx
grifofunk 2 years ago
Really have no clue what to tell you on that, sorry :S
Apothis 2 years ago
good cover :D
i have the 6-string version of your bass :P
its plays awsome and sounds great
nosidda666 2 years ago
Agree! And I'm saying that without using fresh strings, they're still the ones that came on the bass when it arrived haha.
I was looking at the 6 string version but found I probably wouldn't use the top string that often.
Did I make a mistake with that? Only time will tell. :)
Apothis 2 years ago
Correct me if I'm wrong, the top string on a 5 is the same as a 6.
standard tuning for 5
BEADG
standard for 6
BEADGC
Glendacunt 2 years ago
When I say "top string" I'm referring to the thinnest string, in this case, the high C, not the low B.
Apothis 2 years ago
While I'll let it slide, there is no logic behind that.

Alright there sweet cheeks
