  • I wish one of my horses can do that 2 of them know dressage but not that great

  • he is awesome every male rider in my barn sit hunched over just like u said CJacklover

  • WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF HALT WAS THAT!? *headdesk*

  • @handsoffthesaddle oh, so, you can do better? not insulting you, but look dude, this was 2 yrs ago, now they broke the world record and can do halts 200 times better than this, so, please, keep your opinions to yourself.

  • 89.4% was his score on that day :)

  • can someone please find me the music for this?! gaaah, theyre both so beautiful :3

  • who are the 15 trolls who disliked this that is like disliking Jesus

  • What a spectacular animal. Absolutely stunning. Does anyone know his score?

  • Poor horse...someone should be riding that sucker as freely as possible in a countryside somewhere instead of having him do this... :/

  • @Aphroditeuf16 what do you think they do out side of compititons?? they arent uncomfortable in any way, i do dressage on my horse occasionally (nothing like this though) and he loves it! his ears are perked up not backwards, he does it in his paddock not being asked to, and he gets plenty of treats and hugs for doing so, same probibly with this horse, i hope i helped you understand dressage a little more ;)

  • @Aphroditeuf16 he's doing just fine (; if horses didn't like this they wouldn't do it, TRUST ME. and besides, stallions used moves like these to get their mares in the wild baha. and his ears are backwards because he's 'listening' to the rider's commands.

  • this is actually the randomest shit ever: having a horse jump arround to fucking music... think about it for a second hahaha

  • 7 Mill Euros

  • hahah poofter

  • Theyre such a beautiful pair and obviously theres a major connection between the two. I cant believe that the owner sold him and took him away from Edward Gal for money. Hes my favorite person to watch to help me with my dressage. I love both him and Totilas

  • i love Edward Gal's positioning, I find that some male riders sit more hunched over and tense, but he's perfect. He doesn't move his legs to much and his horse is..... gorgeous, this was perfect!

  • If I had one wish I wish I could do dressage!

  • sold for $1.2m

  • @lux944 20.6 million USD

  • Incredible..

  • When you stop at 0:14 you will see the hyperflexion.

But apart from that it is a really good show.

  • @NightLife92 - That's not hyperflexion, he was not being forced into a frame, he just got behind the bit. His poll was still the tallest point of his topline.

  • Amazing both horse and rider. Does anyone know what the song/songs is called cause I can't find it anywhere :)

  • @groovy2093 ; it was specially composed for them, but it's made of several 'famous' tracks. under another vid of edward gal the kürmaker shows what music he used..

  • outstanding-

  • My apologies, haven't been around horses for quite a long while. I meant no insult and he's a handsome boy.

  • Moorlands Totilas is my favorite dressage horse-3

  • I wonder if they have youtube in the Netherlands...He lives in the Netherlands right? If they do have youtube there, Totilas should totally have his own youtube channel, I'm not even joking

  • This is so amazing...At first I thought he/she was a Tennessee Walking Horse only because of the stride, but I was wrong.

  • @NHfiddle Totilas is a male. And why would you think he's a TWH?? He looks nothing like a TWH.

  • I love love love that horse, although it's only nine.

  • jumperluver92 not enough behind but that didnt stop him winning a weg gold medal!! wake up man

  • jumperluver92 not enough behind but that didnt stop him winning a weg gold medal!! wake up man

  • @11paulmm11

i just was saying it does not has has much enthusiasm as his front, not power or quality...... just enthusiasm, i know he is more likely than not the top horse the horse now but for god knows how long people will be trying to reproduce this, god know how long it will take. let me tell u he looked awesome at weg.

  • its just so amazing how the rider doesn`t look like he`s doing much but he`s prob doing tons with his feet /legs and body

  • great front end, but not enough behind , still a HIGH CLASS HORSE

  • @jumperluver92 how do you think his front end is so great? thats from the power of his hind!

  • That was stunning, thanks for sharing!

  • That horses piaffe is intense!!

  • Amazing!

  • Beautiful horse! Edward Gal is amazing! I can't wait to see the dressage tomorrow at Hickstead :D

I wish to become better at dressage now

  • 1 seul mot pour décrire ça ! Perfect . C'est tellement magnifique <3

  • i want to see them without spurs and double bridle.

  • WOW!!! u that hose was so great! omg im impressed! u were great to but HEELS DOWN! aahhh... your heeels werre up the whole time! other than tht u were amazigly perfectly great!

  • I have my opinions on horse training too but can we PLEASE stop arguing about it and enjoy this horse?

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb Like most people who are 'horsey' it is a normal way of wording something. People Enjoy watching sport, they enjoy watching TV shows. It is possible to enjoy watching a very well trained dressage horse and the rider demonstrate moves that many 'horsey' people will never be able to accomplish.

If you would like to have a frankly immature view on a completely normal comment so be it. And What exactly about the human being you insulted was insipid? Simply Grow Up or Go Away

  • @LotteBubbles1995

Hello Lotte. I have made mulitple comments here, apparently.

But I will assume you refer to the one in which I made a sexual innuendo.

This, young lady, is known as a double entendre.

As someone so young, you should, assuming you had my wit at your age, be able to interpret it as so.

However, as you are a girl, and girls generally have horrific interpretational skills when it comes to humour, I should explain that it was merely a wordplay.

    Please stop crying now.

  • The problem with judges is that they are vering away from classical dessage and ultimately the soundness of horses. I don't care how "flashy" and "beautiful" a horse may look to an untrained eye, when hyperflexion is used a horse will drag his hind legs - the free walk will be NOT FREE. The horse is swishing tail during many manuevers another indication of a tight back and forced into position instead of freely into to position.

  • @KCashatt Additionally, many of these dessage horses today are forced into "position" and can do manuevers - but not FREELY and I would also say with continued soundness - why are many dessage horses retired at 10-12 burned out, unsound and used up...oh you don't hear about that...amazing!

  • @KCashatt I totally agree with you! I do dressage and I'm often marked down because my horse is flashy enough. He works properly but I guess he just hasn't got the "look". Whereas a horse like this that doesn't work properly but looks the part. It's sad that it's getting that way tbh.

  • Yah this horse really looks like he's been ruined by hyperflexion, His ears are forward, the horse looks like he is having a great time. And if you didn't notice he's getting rained on, what Grand Prix horse would be completely relaxed specially in the walk when getting soaked. Everyones a critic, lets see you do better.

  • @DressageGal24 I actually think the horse is very happy. I also question if he was trained by hyperflexion, but look at how soft and quiet the rider is. Look at how the rider lowers his poll and then relaxes when the horse gets tense. The rider is very forgiving and correct. I think ANY horse would be happy if EDWARD GAL was riding him, even if it was in the rain!

  • @DressageGal24 i agree with you! this is nice to look at and we should enjoy instead of looking for bad things. sometimes i think people are just jealous. i would love to have a horse that moves like this and i would be very pleased if i could ride like this. - the thing is: peole can´t do better, but instead of saying this they say: i don´t want to ride like this because i ride like philippe karl. sure. looking for excuses?

  • *drool*

  • man, at the bit when he starts to do tempis and they play "Hoist the Colors High" my heart just leapt into my throat! it's amazing how much love one can have for horses <3 i love this horse, nuff said.

  • This freestyle is only going to get better and better. As a dressage rider myself one of the things that i would like to see is a square halt without the rollkuer or behind the bit. His free walk could be more consistent and relaxed.

  • That is my dream horse I ♥ that horse. They work soo well together congratulations on your wonderful test it cannot get any more perfect! Best Wishes x

  • my idols ( edward & totillas )

  • I love this horse, he's amazing.

Also I have to agree with what several others have said, unless you're a judge or a rider on the level that his is at... why even bother to say what he should be marked down for and so on? Clearly you're not that good yet and the judges know what they like.

  • Why do people need to be at this level or need to be a judge to have an opinion about somthing? My personal opinion is that even some of the top judges cant see the difference or dont care about the differece between horses trained with classical dressage and horses ruined be hyper flexion. btw im not implying that these to use hyper flexion. I can only fantisize about rides like this for now! :) They are an amazing pair!!

  • this is so incredible! he is a great rider!

  • it does amaze me that people who aren't even a trainee judge try and comment on what the horse should be marked on. . . please people when you're a grand prix rider and a A listed judge then leave a comment!

  • I completely agree with that comment! several people say they know what is right and wrong with this horse. when you are a listed judge, grand prix rider and you have ridden THIS horse several times, then you can start saying what he did right and wrong. but for now, lay off the critique.

  • The new world record is 92,300 and this couple made it!!

  • parzival was 100X better, more natural

  • FamouSs ❤

  • =O this is sooo amazing

  • lol Wow, I love how people try to go against top judges opinions, being jelous that they cant do this..

  • Ein tolles Pferd, aber der "spektakuläre" Trab ist schrecklich!!!

Vorne viel Musik, hinten keine Soldaten!

  • I kinda sucks because if this is whats winning not very many horses in this world are going to be able to compete with that. Impressive, but I don't find if enjoyable to watch.

  • Yes, the knees do almost touch his nose - BUT SHOULD NOT according to the FEI dressage rules the hind canon and front canon bones should be parallel - so again not deserving of the numerous 'perfect 10's' that he receives!

  • Moorlands Totilas(i don't know what his paddock name is) knee's pretty much touch his nose!!! For a horse who's only 9 he's doing brilliantly!!:P

  • Ah yes, he may move well - but are we watching a showing class or FEI dressage competition?

If an FEI dressage competition then the FEI rules need to be more closely adhered to.

If showing class, then yes he deserves 95% !!

  • Perhaps all the advocates of Edward Gal should watch this video...Edward Gal en Moorland's Totilas clinic NIC Zuidlaren deel 1... it might be enlightening. I'd like to say you don't have to be a pro to know what is right and wrong, in fact most experts don't know, let alone care, what is wrong at all.

  • Good thing you're on youtube to tell all the experts they've got it all wrong.

  • Only trying to promote CORRECT dressage training - and suggesting that the FEI rules be followed.... or changed !! In my opinion the judges have just got so use to seeing this style of riding that they have come to expect it and think that it is correct.

  • Hahaaha I know right? From the advice I see on YouTube its a wonder they are not judging the olympics. xD

  • puts paid an old proverb disparaging horses with four white feet!!

Yes if I were to design a horse to order it mmight look and move like this one!

  • hij is echt goed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • geweldig mooi paard!

  • this is the horse of my dreams!!!!

    its crazy that he´s only 9years old!!!:O

  • cheval magnifique qui a dressé en 90% aux championnats d'europe 2009!!!

  • WOW!

  • stuning

  • wahou quelle allure !!! magnifique

  • what kind of horse is he riding? absolutely beautiful!

  • Edward is riding Moorlands Totilas. a son of the famous stalion Gribaldi.

  • He is a KWPN stallion.

  • Amazing....

  • apart!!!

  • Kings of the Kurs!!!

  • who wrote this music ??

  • The extended trot music is an orchestrated version of the main theme of Jean Michel Jarre's Equinoxe 4. It may be that most of the work is orchestrated JMJ, but, I'm not used to hearing his music orchestrated. I've always felt that JMJ's music would suit dressage, and the 90+% scored by this lad tonight confirms that.

  • We're without words... Wauw!!

Congrats to Edward Gal & Totilas!

Dressage Kim Taelman | Stables Vainqeur (Belgium)

  • woww...... wonderfull !! xxx

  • amazing... :O xx

  • yea isnt he planning to be in the olimpic team with this horse, at least it will be the right sort of age by then for doing that :) yupp my instuctor wass loving this horsee, :) x

  • Just amazing - no other words

  • An amazing horse, his rider is very lucky to ride such a horse.

  • and maybe the horse is also lucky to have such an amazing rider! :)

  • My instructor was judging the dressage down at hickstead, said that this horse was something very special! xx

  • @ Blueroan37: it made the news indeed. In Holland anyway!

  • Oh mah, the steps o-o

Does anyone know if he's avable for stud?

  • No not till after 2012 he will be available

  • On horse hero website they interviewed Edward before and after the Kur test and he mentioned the Horse has never been used for breeding and will only be available once retired! Edward Joked "He doesn't no he is a Stallion" Why he is so focused!!!

  • I had goose bumps all through that ride! Amazing horse and brilliant rider! WOW!

  • i am so pleased that someone put this on here, it was amazing to watch, the horse actaully got a standing ovation as he left the arena!!!

  • Thank you adding this video! :)

  • unbelievable, he just floats! Gal is such a talented rider too, just an amazing combination!

  • This horse is amazing, wish I'd seen it..! Definitely future Olympic, World & European Champion! x

  • This horse scored 89%.... a new world record. Last one set was in 2006!! I cant believe this hasnt made the news... stupid press people!!

  • @blueroan37

Who gives a fuck about this boring sport? Is it a sport? What the fuck?

Poor horse. FREE NELSON MANDELA AND GET TO DA CHOPPA

  • @blueroan37

Yeah, I can't see why this didn't reach the news, either. I mean, this is quite clearly an important sport, that people care about.

  • @blueroan37 an yet when he scored his two 90%+ tests it was headlining news in equestrian mags....I find that odd as well.

  • Totilas = the new worldwonder!
