I think that just like MJ in his later years, Kobe and Mj have both developed that "subconscious fade-away" head motion. I think it's in one of MJ's autobiography that he mentioned his head's shape is a little back-shaped due to the constant fading away shots he's been using.

I think this year 2K has finally improved the realism of Kobe's jumpshot, but as it is shown in the video, the upper body ( which I mean from chest above)'s fading motion is still not there. Kobe doesn't go straight up
