  • "In Britain they call it the Jowl" There's a misconception right there!

  • @AlanKey86 I am in the UK too and have lived in a number of places from London to Scotland. I have never heard a Joule called a 'Jowl' either.

Perhaps in some parts of Lincolnshire the accent may make is sound like Jowl, but this is far from typical.

  • can anyone tell me which book is used for this course & how I can get it?

    is it physics for presidents?

    thanks

  • I was going to watch 5 minutes for now then go for a coffee. An hour later I'm still watching & no coffee :) I remember the capacitor demo by our grade 9 electricity teacher to warn us about working with capacitors and electrical safety in general.

  • Made me wonder if tritium would be a good fuel for an electric car.

  • I have had no form of college education, but Berkley's podcast always satisfy my fix for intellectual stimulation. Thank you for indulging thinkers who do not have access to a college education. I love the courses posted and look forward to any theoretical physics or metaphysics courses that may be posted. The uneducated need food for thought too. Please continue to push programs like this because even without a degree, the knowledge gained from programs like this is priceless. Thanks Berkley!

  • So what is the difference between this course and Physics for future presidents?

  • Hi Cade57, Thanks for your question. This course is the same subject matter, but is being taught this semester (Spring 2010). Just an updated version being uploaded as the semester progresses. We hope you enjoy it!

  • I am so glad new videos are being posted! I have watched every physics and chemistry video that Berkeley has to offer. Richard Muller is absolutely my favourite professor, and i will be applying for this school next year. I am literally ecstatic! Thank you so much Berkeley!

  • @kevinlacaille, well said! I'd cosign your comment if I could.

  • @ananiasacts WHAT IT MEANS?

    cosign?

  • @TURNTOCHRIST, it means to add my name to it.

  • @UCBerkeley, see if you can increase the volume a bit. I hate having to use earphones to hear it.
