I am a Nam vet (70-72) & have met or listened to many fakers since coming home. I used to not say a word but in the last 19 yrs I have started confronting them, a few times it led to violence. Back in the 80's we had a guy at work that claimed to have been a seal in VN. When I asked how old he was, he said 30. At that time he would have been 15 years of age in 1975. I served with a rifle company in VN and can't understand how these people figure they can fool those of us who have been there with their outrageous claims. I did a "SEAL" fitness challenge at nashville shores at a navy tent. A couple of guys there, EOD, rescue swimmer, and a SEAL. I finished the challenge and they gave me a shirt that has a trident and says seal and stuff on it. I loved that thing, looked pretty sweet, but i'm 5'8'' and 150 pounds, it was a large, like a gown on me haha. So i gave it to my brother and he went to work out one day wearing it, and some guy asked him if he was a seal and he said "helllllll no." we watch all your vids.
That would be neat just to talk to you guys haha.

Hey Don, I've watched all of your "Phony Navy SEAL of the Week" vids. and they got me to wondering about a certain individual and whether or not he's a SEAL. The man in question is Richard Marcinko. Everything that I've read an seen about him strongly suggests that he was indeed a SEAL. Is this true?

@MrIdasam Richard Marcinko is a very notable Navy SEAL. He founded and was the first commanding officer of Team 6, known as DEVGRU today. Look him up on google, there is a lot of good reading about Marcinko.

I do not know why people think it is cool to pretend that they were in the armed forces?I was was in the army reserves and I wasn't good at it.I failed because of test anxiety and dyslexia.Lol! Every time the commanding officer yelled to turn right I would turn left and vis versa.He got so angry that he tied a rope to my right arm and right leg.Then he said "this is your fucking right".Lol!However I was good at taking apart the FN C1 and shining my boots.Lol!

I did a "SEAL" fitness challenge at nashville shores at a navy tent. A couple of guys there, EOD, rescue swimmer, and a SEAL. I finished the challenge and they gave me a shirt that has a trident and says seal and stuff on it. I loved that thing, looked pretty sweet, but i'm 5'8'' and 150 pounds, it was a large, like a gown on me haha. So i gave it to my brother and he went to work out one day wearing it, and some guy asked him if he was a seal and he said "helllllll no." we watch all your vids.
