Wow made me sad to read that its being scrapped, what a beautiful truck. It was one of the inspirations for the 306 build I did in my 96 F150. How much of drop and what size wheels and tires did you have on it? The stance is perfect
@oldfordblue1 I dropped it 8" in the rear and 5" in front. I put the stock spindles above the beams. I used ranger rear leafs with slapper bars adn extended the shackles. 225 70/15 and 32x12.5 x 15. Enjoy things while you have them. It was a lot of fun while I had it running... I still have it... Can't get anything for it not running. I haven't really tried to get rid of it yet. Who knows?
@AzzKikr430 Life is difficult sometimes. You'll just have to accept it. In your favor; the truck is being disassembled and scrapped. I plan on building a '56 f100 drag style and LOW in the front.
@krookedKiller13 Unfortunately and to my own regret, it's true. I have other responsibilities and with the gas prices rising it's just not economical to get running again. I plan on using the drive train in a '56 F100...
could you please email me at ronni50L@uninets.net Im building my 95 f150 xlt into a tuff truck and am stuck on what tranny will go in and hold the power of the motor i built. I have a e4od and a T5 from a 92 stang but thinking im going to have to go the way your going.PLEASE EMAIL ME ASAP THANK YOU
I'm about to put my motor back together and have read way to much so now i'm confused on what to use. I was thinking 2 cycle oil on upper section of piston/rings then red line or something for the valve train and bearings main/rod.
SICK truck man. I think it's cooler then a lightning really. cuz it's so unique you know. Lightnings are the shit but you know.
not that it looks bad or anything but hopefully the only reason u flipped the ball joints was for closer to the ground handling... naa it still looks like a nice truck
nice truck. got a 94 just like it, green, stock 5.0, but its a truck, my hauler. i dont really believe in lowerering trucks that much, but everyone has their tastes. im trying to figure out what cam i should put in my 66 stang, and the e303 is seemingly the best for a relatively stock engine.
Nice truck. Did you happen to remove your side molding on the truck? I've been curious on how to remove them on these trucks without messing up paint.
im likin that truck, what transmission was in there that didn't hold up (if im reading what you said right) im gettin ready to change my 302 over to a 347 with ford racing heads and cam, and i need to know if my transmission is going to hold haha
excelent truck love it wish mine was that clean ill have to post some vids i guess i got a 92 with a mass air conversion b303 cam 86 mustang 5.0 block crank and pistons runnin the stock heads and intake with the m5od 5 speed trans i just replaced the 3.08 geared open rearend with a 3.55 geared trac loc outa the salvage yard i went with a dual exhaust set up though with an x pipe after i dumped off the front fuel tank and i thought i was the only one hot roddin out these fords
It has KB flat top pistons with a 58cc head. Measured, static compression is 9.19:1. The heads are iron. There are more details in the info box next to the video.
hey is that a carburated engine or fuel injection.. if its fuel injection where did u get a tuner for it and what size injectors etc... and when u put the 5speed in the truck will it just bolt in or do u need some moddifications
It's injected with a chip in it. It's not right yet as I've burned pistons twice. I'm running 30 lbs. injectors. There are way too many mods to make the T45 trans fit. I don't recommend it without a lot of patience, tools, dedication and experience fabricating. It does "NOT" bolt right in.
NO! I tried 9 times and destroyed 3rd gear almost every time. It's just not made for high HP. or hard hits. It busts off the short input shaft too. An E4OD is too heavy for my liking.
damn that thing is nasty you care to share the specs on the cam? i have a truck that's kinda the same but then different all at once you should take a look at it, it's a little more mild than yours is
Are you serious? I looked at your favorites and you don't have any car vids saved...
I didn't keep track of how much was spent on my truck... It was a 2 year project with lots of broken parts during "research and developement... " so the cost was probably double! The only thing stock is the 302 (5.0) block so maybe you can think about what you might want to do to one for yourself and add it up.
Check out my page by typing in "lobelifter" in the search box.
I,ve got 95 f150 xl and I would like to build mine where should I start I want to smoke chevys like I allready do but I want a complete rebuild of my motor and chasie about how much would it take to run about 340hp with high torque. I runing a 302 5.0
I'd start with a good set of heads... Dart/ Windsor Jr. 180cc, a 220 @ .050" cam and headers. I'd use a custom tuned '93 Cobra ecm... 30 pound injectors are needed for 340 HP... ported intake...
Yes it is. There are legal limits but you have to know what to get away with... The belt's not hooked up but the smog pump is still there when needed... the cam is just under the legal limit (it's the same grind as the new LS-7 ZO-6 vette.) If they can have it, I can too!!! The heads are drilled for air injection and are C.A.R.B. approved.
Thank you. It's a 3" single with all mandrel bends (no kinks at the bends) crossed over under the tail shaft of the trans. I made my own merge for smooth transition. I used a high flow cat and one "terminator" muffler. I also used long tube 1 5/8" headers with 3" collectors. I did all of the work myself and I cut up 6 "U" bends and a total of 11 hours to build... I've done way too much to this truck but I had the time. It does sound great in person. Good luck on your truck.
2! Hahahahaha!!! I dynoed it at 280 at the wheels with the stock truck intake restricting things. I had to for smog purposes. If I put a 650 double pumper on it with a nice intake it will make close to 400 at the flywheel. It is fun to drive since I put the T45 5speed in it... Thanks for your comment.
Im auctually looking into buying a truck like yours(the year/modle) or an early 90's mustang when I graduate highschool. I'll try and post a video of my truck idleing.
Cool! Keep at it! I tore mine down for engine gaskets a 185000 and it didn't even need boring or a build except for cam bearings but I did it anyway!
Unplug the timing jumper and set the timing at 34 total... It will like it very much! The check light will be on but it runns better. Gas milage will suffer in the long run too.
Just know that it's diversly fun... work truck, date truck and bracket race truck all in one! I had a '90CHP mustang and this truck is right up there in the fun-zone! Awesome control with brodies!
Great looking truck, Sounds even better. alot of work and time went into this truck and from the looks of it the owner has took great care of this ford. Don't make em like they used back in the good ol' days everything now is fiberglass, carbon fiber, or plastic. Hardly any solid vehicles around.
