the bodys exploding is a perk called "Bloody Mess" i think you can use cheats on pc to delete perks. if not there should be a mod out there to change perks at will. Check Fallout nexis

You need to get anything you can even if you dont use them like those lead pipes and all the armor so you can sell them thats what i do in fallout 3 because i dont know a money glitch but i always have money and a lot of it. This is just some advice though

I love how the bands of survivors in those places makes it seem like there's a lot more sense to them camping out there and raiding everyone who travels there for supplies, especially since during the day they have a hive of ants to protect them.

just to give you a heads up,the whole gore thing is because of the instant headshot kill, im guessing the mod changes the headshot multiplier to a ridiculous amount, all creatures explode like that when overkill happens. just giving you a heads up on the game mechanics

Bloody mess is what is making you gib everything most likely, or it might be the realistic headshots mod making you crit which does it. It's dependent on damage done when they die.

you may have figured this out in later vids, im sure someone told you already. but Sunset sarsparilla isn't a useful healer. you want stimpaks, purified water & dirty water. if you get your survivalist skill higher you can make "mass purified water" with 5 dirty water, glass pitcher & surgical tubing.(it gets you 4 pure water) & also cactus water out of prickly pear fruit & an empty soda bottle. with a lvl 70 science you can make stimpaks with xander root broc flower(i think) & an empty seringe
