i seen this movie when i was little and really liked it, then when i was older i found out about the extended edition, and then it became one of my all time favs, i love every thing about it, the performances, the music, the characters, all around great
I can't really say that this is a bad movie, it's just pretty fucking weird at times. I mean I can't help but just feel extremely uncomfortable whenever Matilda says I love you to a guy that's like 40 years older than her. And I get the whole message that the movie was going for, but it doesn't come across to me so when first watching it. Gary Oldman was amazing, Natalie Portman did a good job for being 12 and Jean Reno did a decent enough job to make it an enjoyable film with some odd spots.
@JunkCCCP ley-own is how the italian man in the movie pronuonces it. natalie portman always calls him leeon through out the movie. and in france it would be pronounced lee-own. and i'm not going to pronounce it that way and confuse people. much the same way as i pronounce akira as opposed to akida to avoid confusion.

Hey there. Thought that was a great review. i first saw this movie when i was like 10 years old and only bits and pieces and loved it. For the longest time since then i had not seen it and decided to search for it. i must have searched for a year and when i found it i thought i had hit the jackpot.. i still watch it to this day and love it. it is just a very well done movie. it's not really overdone just plain awesome.
always liked this movie but after today when i saw the directors cut I think its the best movie I ever have watched. I cant believe they took that 25 minutes away.
Hey man. Yes, I also happen to be a huge fan of this movie. It is probably one of if not the best movie that I’ve ever seen, it´s so perfect in every aspect. It was interesting that you mentioned that none of your friends had seen it, neither had mine until I mentioned it! That´s for the review. Great movie!

Most people I know if not all have seen this movie and about half agree that its a great movie. IMO this is the best hitman movie i have ever seen to date.
yea this movie just rocks. not only do i believe it's the best hitman films, it's also one of the best foreign films i've ever seen along with some of the best performances by the actors in it.argue all you want about gary oldmans best performance, but i think this is it.
