She isn't playing on 5 strings. Her fingering in the upper register are similar to what I use on my 4 strings. If it was 5-string she would not be in thumb position so soon. And if one looks around 2:30 the four strings are clearly seen.
And you are not very mature. I've seen many respectable cellists play on five strings. And it's simply an observation. You should not criticize people for making such observations.
Come on! I want to hear the next movement too! Isn´t she great? I heard her live in 1971 or 1972. She was just as queen-like then. But perhaps forgotten when Jacqueline du Pré made her amazing entrance? And John Newmark was one of Kathleen Ferriers most memorable accompanists. First time I´ve seen him!

is it really that common to play on a 5-string cello? I only ask because no cellist I know does... but it would make life easier sometimes!
