I suppose being a harkonnen would be cool, but you really would not like to be one. Acension in the Harkonnen society is impossible without assasination or killing someone for thier position and gaining thier status.

Ordos are no better, " in thier dictionery there are no words for the concept of loyalty or honor, there are more than 300 for the concept of profit". Out of the 3, Atreides would be nicer to be.

Yeah you are right. "The honorable Atreides" songs are heroic. Harkonnen no wonder they have rock music.. they are brute force concepts. House Ordos is known for the use of forbidden technologies. Maybe that's why they use techno/robotic/science theme.

Yes, you are right on with the genres of the houses.

Atreides are honorable and kind, so they have majestic themes.

Harkonnen are evil and inflict cruel, heavy damage giving them the reputation of a deep, heavy metal war theme.

Ordos are known for deception and restricted computerizational technology. This house's genre of techno machina/futurism is my favorite of the 3.

Ok, but I don't think there are any Harkonnen themed exclusive anime pictures out there (and NO Harkonnen cannon from Hellsing). I chose this picture because the dragon reminds me of the robotic esque instruments, and the whole tune goes good with the picture.

Thats fine mate, the Harkonnen are a bit misunderstood to be honest, they are brutal and crude yet they do have a taste for the refined too! At least in the books! In some respects the pretty images of anime combined with brutality somes them up! Its kind of messed up but thats the way they are in the dune books, they like beauty and cruelty.

@Chrisjh0223 Actually, in the novels, Frank Herbert mentions several times that the official Harkonnen colour is blue and their uniforms are almost entirely blue, so in a way, the picture is a little fitting :D
