People who segregate themselves from others need a lesson in ethics or maybe common sense. We're all human - when people segregate themselves based on race, gender, language spoken, they're just prejudice and ignorant.

Why would we want an anglo flag? TheEnglish have the rest of Canada.

Also, the English of NB did not have the struggle the Acadians did to even keep their identity.

Honestly the segregation of the English and french, Attending BHS in Bathurst there were so many fights between the english and the french it was sad to watch. How about instead of fighting to devide further we realize we're really not that different.

Oufff, je trouve cela comique et triste en meme temps. Il se trouve qu'il y a encore des dinosaures ( en voie d'instinction ) qui proteste encore parce qu'ils sont trop tetues pour apprendre le francais comme nous avons appris l'anglais. Je travail presentement en Ontario sur une base militaire anglophone et c'est vraiment le fun de voir l'evolution qui s'est fait parmi les jeunes anglophones; beaucoup comprennent et parle le francais.

The Anglophone Society said they were protesting the fact that they couldn't fly their flag on their special day.

If Brad Woodside permits Acadians to fly their Acadian flag it is only he allow Anglophones to fly their flag also.

I know B W from way back before he was Mayor of Fredericton and I can say that it makes me want to throw up the way he gives this blogger so much of his time and bends over backward to appease him.

And yes it is true that the governments (Starting with Trudeau's Liberal party) has given Francophones all the federal,provincial, municiple and mangerial positions. While the French are enjoying the good life with their high paying jobs the English-speaking are slaving away at McJobs or on welfare. Many have left NB the home of their birth to seek employment that they can't get here because of the French control..

There is a language cleansing going on in N.B, just like in Quebec.

Why is it that when an anglophone expresses an opinion or stands up for their rights they are a bigot, but when a francophone does the same he is a hero. As far as I can tell the vocal francophones seem to want to rule (as if they already don't) and not be equal. I have never treated a francophone poorly and never will because I don't wish to sink to their level. 80% of Canada is english speaking yet over 90% of politicians are francophone. Anywhere else this would be called an occupation.

AngloSociety, I am glad that you are expressing your S.2 Charter right to free speech and thought.The ideas that are the very pillars for your organization are flawed and uneducated.You make false statements about the french community and this video is just one example of this. Last time I checked EVERYONE in Canada with a job pays taxes and as a matter of fact, most of these Acadians are contributing more than average because they are able to fill the high paying jobs that require bilingualism.
