  • Notice about the rocket seat. The rocket seat whos developed by Czech.

Test of rocket seat, whos ending by 28 shots of MiG 15UTI and z L-39, every!!! seat shot has prooft that all parameters TTPare filled v plném rozsahu. Until 1977 by lifecycles and clima tests whos done 222 shots 115 from MiG 15UTI, 47 from L-39 and 60 of land stationary position. Safety and reliability whos prooft in praxis too, safed lives.....

  • beautiful aircraft; thanks for posting.

  • Czech republic is not Russia!! Czech republic was part of the Soviet union, but they were occupied us for twenty years!!! We are honour fot our planes, but that red star is what we hate in our country wery much!!!

  • why doesnt billy maze sell these?

  • @keith8880 Because he's dead maybe?

  • yea 007 plane....great

  • Talking about Mig-29 is not correct. In the begining of builting L-39 used Warshawa pact mostly Mig-21 and Mig-23/27 fighters.

Mig-29 came much later.. Its a Czech made plane and Czechoslovakia never belonged to Soviet union (CS were only in the same pact of socilist contries, but never Soviet..). So, the vid appears weird for a man from East..

  • It'z Czech plane, Georgian air force have this plane pretty nice.

  • nice plane

  • this plane was Bulgarian

  • whats the name of the song

  • What does he do for a job to afford an L-39?

  • @Mirage111O - Bill owns a small software development company.

  • @Mirage111O L-39's are relatively cheap, its the fuel and maintenance that'll kill ya

  • @Mirage111O G , what kind of question is that , All the Billy guys they got money .Dont you pay bills ?LOL

  • @Mirage111O Well, you can get one for less than 100K in some cases. Cheaper than a late model Cessna 172.

  • @Mirage111O You DO know that these cost less to purchase than a 12cyl Ferrari right? Actually, it costs less to acquire than a new Cessna 206. ;)

  • @likeawhispr really? i have no idea what a cessna costs, but this costs less then a cessna, why?

  • @tootall2992 Just to give you an idea: A Cessna Caravan on floats costs over $2 million U.S. dollars, and a little Cessna 206 will cost you about $590,000 U.S. dollars. You can buy a L-39 for $200,000 (or less). A T-38 (like the russian aircraft on top gun) will run you about $1.8 - $2.2 million US Dollars.... cheaper than buying most Cessna business jets! Cessna dot com for prices. Click on "specifications" on the various aircraft types to see prices.

  • @Mirage111O You can get an L39 for $150k + 10k in training per person. If you buy a 1/3 ownership (you won't use it 100% of the time anyways) that leaves each person with $60k +~$200/hour (of flight) for fuel add $1,200/mo for maintenance, ins, and hanger and you've got yourself an expensive hobby. But somebody making $100k/yr could afford a partial on that jet. Somebody making $300k could easily afford the entire thing.

  • @Mirage111O second hand l-39 cheaper than Cessna 172. Biggest problem is it drinks jet a1 fuel a lot

  • What kind of Q is that . ALL Billys got money , dont you pay bills evrey month , ? LOL

  • please don't answer if you don't actually know-----------is it possible to break the sound barrier in a l-39 if you decend from highest altitude going full throttle? (ps, i know you can't do it in the usa due to FAA regulations)

  • @assman12354 If you went from the service ceiling to 90 degrees pitch down at full throttle? No, the aircraft would either break up or hit the ground before you even approached the sound barrier.

  • nice plane

  • What's the name of the song and artist?

  • @ParanoidGallows - Can't recall the name... but it's from the movie 'Hunt for Red October'.

  • @mcneillmedia - I found out the name of the song. It's "Hymn To Red October" by Basil Poledouris. I hope this helps :)

  • fuckin want one

  • i prefer the ts-11

  • Dangerous ? :P love this plane

  • what is the song???

  • Well, its like this.

  • I was wondering where do you get engine parts from? Or where do you do engine servicing?

    Thx

  • can the owner of this plane in video contact me asap thanks, im looking to buy one of these planes and would like to know more info ,talk soon,r

  • Great video. Really enjoyed it. Wish I could afford one!!

  • I dream of owning one of these. I'm a licensed pilot with no plane to fly. Bummer!

  • @Clint902 Same boat here, man. But, I've got 3 hours in an L-39C. My advice: Don't take the chance if you get one, it will infect you. You will *have* to have one, learn from my mistake! Haha.

  • Yea I was reading about how harsh the Russian ejection seats are compared to US

  • Burns about "...a gallon [of fuel] every 10 seconds..." - Not too bad, comparable to a nice new Prius.

  • wow! So can anybody buy a Mig-23 now?

  • f a n t a s t i c and smooth ride!

  • Wow... how the hell would you even fund an aircraft like that?

  • L-39 is OUR CZECH plane, not Russian....!

  • No one said it was Russian built, but it was used by several Soviet countries. Yes.. Czech-built... but sold to many other countries.

  • I know... I know... the video doesn't actually say that its Russian. It says its Czech-built. I just didn't have any Czech music. Sorry if that was misleading, but to us dumb Americans, everything East of Germany seems kind of Soviet to us... till you get to China. So the music seemed appropriate. ;o)

  • @mcneillmedia Then we are lucky that you were not combat pilot during Iraqi wars, because you can confuse Prague with Baghdad ( both cities are east of Germany till you get to China) and can easily deliver daisy cutter to one of your fellow NATO partners east of Germany.

  • @mcneillmedia its stil good a good piece a music u picked mate. a shout out from thailand. l-39 is a classic.

  • @mcneillmedia engine is russian Ivchenko AI-25

  • @Milbooun its soviet union not czech,no i mean maybe built czechoslovakia in old times, but you was in soviet!

  • @Milbooun its russian plane becouse all components are russian but it was produced i chech

  • @aa11ff Most of components are Czech. Sure, engine not. But plane developed in Czechoslovakia, made in Czechoslovakia and completly designed by Czech engineers.. Plane is more Czech than american clothes or electronics made in China with chinese materials and components :D

  • nice

  • Great video, very informative.

    Thank you for posting.

  • Nice vid there, except .... I know for most american, all the eastern european countries are that same communist bunch, but Czech republic was never part of Soviet Union. Of course our country was in sphere of soviet infulence, but never part of it. Also L-39 was built to replace older L-29 dolphin and is continued by new L-159 ALCA

  • a put fuel in it and fly plane

  • They have these listed on the internet for as low as 195 grand for a 1981 model as far as what ive seen.

  • @umahuma4 115,000 on controller com!

  • @weatherman1233 awsome, this is umahuma4's new channel basically, just incase you are wondering.

  • Excellant coverage! 5***** Now, on to parts 2 and 3!!!

  • I worked little time rebuilding L29, L39, Yak 52, Yak 18. They are so robust you just love them over time. Good exaple is that first bolt i torqued on cessna broke.

I think I worked same people who sold you pane.

  • thank you for the video!! if I have money.......

  • Great video about the L-39. This has been a dream jet for a long time.
