Yes, we did, very sad the Kona Village Resort was a great place, there are no plans at the moment to bring it back but I sure hope they do

88mroux's , yes that's correct, the Fairmont on the Big Island was the Ritz at one time, have you stayed here/??
@mrbruce1 Yes i have. In early summer or late spring of 1995, with my parents but other times i stay with my aunt and my cousin in a relitivly smaller village resort.

you may have heard that the Fairmount Orcid on the big island of Hawaii Used to be a Ritz Carlton Resort as well.
