    our dog was about €700, and to get it my parents drove from south france and back to the middle of the Netherlands.

    Plus medical care, food, puppy cursus, think a hexabot is cheaper ;)

  • Seriously, you're probably looking at doing a degree in electronics and then a few years post-grad experience to be able to design something like this.

    You need to be able program microprocessors as well as design the electronics (motor drives, etc.)

    Maplin or Radioshack might have a starter kit though?

  • well I'm 18 an i built my own hexapod no problem u dont need a master degree or things like that u just need to be persistant and use the internet to the max

  • hmm...... did you, by any chance, record every step of the process and a series of schematics and parts list? because I want a hexapod- this is awesome.............
