how do you launch? i currently have mostly stock mr2 jdm 3sgte lsd tranny, i will launch 5 to 6k and i just spin the tires mostly thru first. i mean do you feather the gas? do you launch then slowly press off the gas? just want to get it down the best i can
@tlesiak91 If your on street tires rev it up high and slip the clutch, if you just dump it you will probably spin. My car isn't stock and I am running on full slicks, I launch at about 7500rpms building about 18lbs of boost with the 2step on the launch.
@mr2cam yea ive done that once or twice just slipping the clutch, i have a msd 2step but waiting to get the msd 6al ignition box, i am planning on the ATS ct27, i seen from ur videos you had one in the past, How did you like the ct27? im looking for just a mild build 300hp or so lol for now.
@tlesiak91 The CT27 is a great turbo, for a while I had the quickest 1/8th mile CT27 out there but then I switched over to the TD06. The CT27 will reach 300rwhp but you may need race gas to make it, I would suggest trying a TD06, it may be a bit more but you will love the result and the spool is very good!
@mr2cam Yea i keep telling myself im just going to want a bigger turbo after the ct27, ive looked up the 20g and seems to be a happy medium, i guess i will be needing to save my nickels and dimes
@mr2cam by the way how about a walk around and a nice shot of your engine bay, would love to see your setup, the stroker 2.2 would be amazing but i rlly dont have that cash
The engine bay doesn't look pretty right now, I need to do some cleanup, it has been through a lot of abuse, I had about 4 years with over 100 passes each year on the stroker motor. I have it away in storage right now because I bought a different car to bracket race, so I will probably put the Kaaz differential back in it and just use it as my daily driver.
@b20mr2 Stock springs and struts, plus my 2step wasn't working right so I could only have one rev limiter and that was leaving at 7500 rpm, I wish I could get it to leave at about 7100.
@mr2cam I run stock struts and springs , leave at 7400 @ 18psi and Im on a 26 inch tire .. cant keep it off the bumper lol, just thought with a iron block and stock suspension it would hook no matter how high you leave , nice car tho good luck!
