Though, when you watch you clips you can see a lot of the turn happens on the black lines, and in fact on a lot of the full length shots the ball actually tracks along the line. it happens more times than not...kinda like a red shell

They don't do these sorts of shots, because there is a greater chance of it not working then working + the fact that it is illegal to dent the table in professional pool and snooker and they could be banned. And a pro can do it for example Jimmy White did it on live television. Also this was kind of thing was made possible cause a physist found out about it, if you hit the ball at a certain angle with enough power it resulted in a curve

Also videos have been edited cause they aren't supposed to show you the fails. This kind of shot takes ages to master and get right. @assassin2291 i can. but what he is using is a masse cue. It is shorter and heavier making it easier to hit those shots. I use a normal cue and i can get about 60% of that spin easily.

@assassin2291 I can do about 50 % of these tricks with a 10 year old falcon...it's not that hard when you practice it, but it's a lot easier when you have a cue made for these shots, rough cloth and wider holes :)

This fella in the video, Eric Yow, took 2nd place a few years ago for the world trick shot championships, loosing to Tom Rossman. @204aidan lol. So be it. Dude there's a few secrets to these types of shots, like the types of sticks used, even a little silicone on the cue ball to reduce friction. But the shots are real. On some of the more extreme masse shots Eric uses a 30 oz cue specially made for him. He talks about it in other videos. You should really look it up instead of just not believing it just because YOU can't do it. Do you think masse shots are just myths? I use them in games all the time, albeit not as extreme
