NH sounds good. At least one state is holding true to the foundations of our country. Now if only it was possible in Cali. To much diversity, there is no common ground in which to unite the people. Everyone has a different idea on what freedom is, some people believe they need laws to protect thier "individual" freedoms. Thier is no collective caucus of Cali. Everyone wants things thier way. And god forbid what the Cali media would do to a group of constitutionalists. Liberal Opression is here.
And it was a landslide: "With 178 votes, Kjellman was defeated by 14-year veteran Barbara French, with 380 votes, and Beth Rodd, who received 332 votes."
Great news! Of course, the first I hear of it is from the Ridley Report. Thanks for posting this one, Dave. It shall be blogged upon in the near future. - Bruce
1) Bedrick will request a recount so he hasn't lost yet
2) The people who ousted Liz Hager are not 'freestaters' however are also great candidates. They have lived here in NH for years, having come for jobs here.
Did you guys hear about National Press Club conference with Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, and various other 3rd-party candidates? Sweet! They're all joining together temporarily to fight back against the 2 parties and their BS. Nader and Paul in the same room. :D
Of course, though, Neal Boortz and other Fair Tax proponents claim that the Fair Tax will give all, or at least some, of those with lower incomes a "refund" or "rebate check" to help pay the taxes on necessities, but I'd really like to know how they calculate every small-income family's income and how much they should get, so that would seem VERY time-consuming for bureaucrats. Not to mention I don't think the gov't can afford to spend even more on more rebate checks.
Dave, I know you obviously aren't gonna vote for Nader or like him that much, but oddly enough, even he doesn't like taxing labor or hard work, and he proposes getting rid of the federal income tax and replacing it with a tax on securities speculation. Now, of course, people don't necessarily NEED to speculate on securities to make a living, although some people do speculate for a living, but I'm sure even those who do stay in the game are probably upper-class or upper-middle class by now.
And billions, if not trillions, of dollars move back and forth with speculation, so it would be probably the least detrimental tax, esp. for middle and lower classes. I'm not so sure a flat tax is the best idea. I mean, if supply-side works as well as they say it does, MAYBE, but that's a huge maybe, a 10 or 20% flat tax on everyone, rich and poor, can get us enough revenue. But I think a national sales tax of something like 23% rate(fair tax) would be even harder on lower-income people.
The Founders were liberal, in a sense, and they were pro-gun. Hell, back in that time, they even had duels! People were actually willing to have gunfights to the death. The Wild West was full of armed citizens with very little, if any, gun control. People kept criminals in line, for the most part.
this guy needs a tv show!

2) The people who ousted Liz Hager are not 'freestaters' however are also great candidates. They have lived here in NH for years, having come for jobs here.
