  • Pretty sure this played when Jesus rose from the dead.

  • Love it!

  • I posit that this song is most excellent.

  • Jaws Theme

  • This reminds me of when I went norkeling at the Philippine

  • This just reminds me of the Eragon books, I don't know why.

  • It might be rude, but who is Franz? Is he part of E.S Posthumus?

  • @SatAMJunkie E.S Posthumus was comprised of two brothers; Franz and Helmut Vonlichten. Franz died in 2010 unexpectedly and with that E.S Posthumus as we know it, also died.

  • @subzero9285 Franz and Posthumus were too good for this world. I don't blame them.

  • i always imagine in ancient Greece, an old man with white beard. At the melody's calm sections he is sitting inside and working with charts, at the powerfull chorus parts he is walking outside in the sandy town at day, and at the final powerfull chorus section he is praying to God for some help, because hes been working really hard

  • Rest in Peace Franz. You and your brother were musical geniuses :(

  • this music is amazing, this reminds me alot of the efforts humanity is making toward world peace. absolutely divine.

  • ...I'm going to keep telling myself that they didn't name this song after a Japanese confectionery, but either way it's awesome.

  • @thewurlybird

Which, they didn't. Sanskrit for rain

  • This song is so epic

  • thats the fucking badass wii sound =) XD knew i remember this XD awsome playlist^^

  • Fly away.. FLY YOU ARE FREE!! lol thats what comes to mind when I hear this song.

  • love posthumus

  • never mind, this song is too epic for a story, anyways... E.S. POSTHUMUS FOREVER!!! :D

  • HELLO EVERYONE. I am the Pure, the Wise and the Everlasting. Nice to meet ya!!

Take precautions before listening to this during a heavy hit of Salvia 20x. You may blow your mind in several directions.

  • Anyone else feel like they want to hug someone when they hear this song?

  • @manofsteam1 no

  • @xaxawehn Why not?

  • @manofsteam1 eeeew fuck grows no

  • ..... O_O I just drew my BEST sketch EVER listening to this song!

  • Ok...so im seriously into heavy metal right?...but here i am, sitting and admiring the great E.S posthumus.

I may love my metal, but damn I love my E.S posthumus.

  • @Megan96RS I feel teh f/cking same bro, normally I'm a powermetal/symphonicmetal fan, but yet here I am, listening to this wonderfull music..

  • @honormaster007 We think alike my friend

  • @Megan96RS I think we all do, when we lis'n to this music, my friend.

  • @honormaster007 See?, this music just brings us all together and theres no falling out or disagreeing :)

  • I have yet to hear a bad song from these guys.

  • I really don't care if I'm one of the few amongst my friends and family who listen to this type of music. This music is what plays in the background of all the warriors and all the great stories to be told. And it will play in my head as I advance in life <3

  • Love the drums.

  • Thank you God for giving men brains to conceive such elegance.

  • @everdox No, thats what makes this music so magical. We cannot conceive it. Its to pure.

  • @PenguinPay93 True true. Its so hard to keep up with so many of them.

  • I know for sure that Two Steps From Hell is the only one I know that matches it so far.

  • I would donate a kidney if it meant the surviving brother went back and made more music. This stuff (especially Cartographer) is absolutely breathtaking. I hope it's just a break, not a permanent end. These guys were and are the ABSOLUTE best!!! Don't believe me? Listen to Oraanu Pi.

  • @landrybeck what? ouch that is ichy ouchy

  • Champions' Anthem, to be honest.

  • I recently put this song on right before I took a bowl of Salvia Divinorum.

My house became a Christmas present, I uttered the words excitedly in my mind, can I keep it??? I felt the temporary nature of life, as though I was viewing my life from the outside as a Movie and it was going to end soon.

The cliffhanging notes at the end of the song made me uneasy and jerked me back into this World, which honestly felt like the credits in a movie. My movie. My life. It was divine. Hope is key. <3

  • instead of a vuvuzela and 1911 button, youtube should have an e.s. posthumus button on videos.

  • are there more "bands" who make this kind of music? because i love to listen to this kind of music

  • @Konan1236 You should checkout Immediate Music, Audiomachine, Two Steps From Hell, Corner Stone Cues, X Ray Dog.

  • @subzero9285 yes, very nice music indeed, thanks for the tip!;)

  • @subzero9285 Forgetting Zack Hemsey >:)

  • Comment removed

  • @Konan1236 You are a special person, being one of us that loves this type of music, there are Two Steps from Hell, Globus(Immediate Music) and AudioMachine, there are many more, but I prefer those the most. Hope you like them :)

  • @Konan1236

Not EXACTLY but... Symphony X wrote a lot of.. well, symphonic rock, perhaps they would be up your street?

They wrote some epics too, I mean like 20 + minute masterpieces.

Let me know what you think!!! I hope I helped...

  • @Konan1236 Hans Zimmer, John Powell

  • @Konan1236 If you like stuff like this you should listen to Epic Score. one of my personal favorites is 'Siren's Call' :)

  • @Konan1236 In addition to that, 8dawn, Brand X Music, Hans Zimmer, Globus, Future World Music, Epic Score, Position Music, etc. They are soooo awesome!

  • @Konan1236 the MOST SIMILAIRE are Position Music and Immediate Music.

The others are hybrid of electronic, much more noisy and speedy and some just electronic only like X Ray Dog :)

  • Anyone else hit replay so many times You tube crashed???? I did.

  • Brilliant, this song REALLY takes off at 3:00.

  • One word. Beautiful.

  • This song reminds me of the scenes in Avatar when Jake is trying to learn everything about the Na'vi. Wonderful ballad!

  • The first flight of a baby dragon! :D

  • I picture a boy who was born blind and is starting to get his vision back and sees the world for the first time. Its beauty and its dark side.

  • 5 people don't have the wings to fly.

  • Around 1:40 - 2:15 it makes me think of Icarus gradually making his way up to the sun, losing his wings, and then crashing down into the Icarian sea... just the mounting tension of that part makes me think of it. :3

  • wow!!

  • This is the song that plays when Chuck Norris trims his beard.

  • @zekal10 But the world would END if he trims his beard!

  • Epic!!!!!!

it also sounds like a victory sound i listen this song alot

when i Play Gears Of War 1-2

  • At 3:46 I keep hearing 'hit the softball....'

  • @theM3s3ng3r LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • unlike other music groups, E.S posthumus never gets boring

  • I think some people write comments just for the sake of sounding scholarly and "deep". Just enjoy the music, and if you want to comment about it, then cool. But there's no need to launch into a speech about Abraxas and the nature of life or whatever just to make yourself sound smarter than you are.

  • @panzerkpf1 - How wonderfully fascist of you. Thanks for NOT allowing people's minds to be free and expressive in the way that THEY choose. What would the world do without your superior guidance? (In case you couldn't figure it out, that question was purely rhetorical.)

As you mentioned on your profile at the time of this writing, you are NEW to YouTube. Hang in there... you'll better understand what it's all about with just a little more of the "YouTube" experience under your belt..

  • @BigMTBrain Trying to sound condescending doesn't make you sound smart. I'm entitled to my opinion, and I feel that some of the comments of this video are just fluffy rants by people who want to make themselves seem smarter than they are. If you think that they are wonderful and insightful, then cool. I don't.

Also mentioned on my profile is that I joined in 2008.

  • @panzerkpf1 - "Trying to sound condescending doesn't make you sound smart.", "...people who want to make themselves seem smarter than they are." You have some weird phobia about people sounding smarter than you. Hey, hey, hey... it's OK. Calm down. Your lower intelligence is not a crime. We will not have you arrested or banned. "Condescending"? Ha ha. Careful... Look in the mirror... your overinflated ego is showing.. It's great that you feel that YOU have a right to an opinion. How telling.

  • @BigMTBrain People have a right to post whatever they want, and I have a right to object to their post. I've actually got better things to do than argue on the internet, so expect a response. You can have the last word if it'll make you feel better, though. Later.

  • @panzerkpf1 - Super Duper. Yes, you have a right to an opinion. That would be something like "I don't like the way..." Contrarily, as soon as you utter, "JUST enjoy..." and "...there's no need", you are trying to dictate and decide for other people. You are probably very young and haven't learned that very important distinction yet. No worries... in time, you will grow. Hopefully, this has helped you a bit in that regard.

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • It's like the Lion King without Elton John or that annoying as shit parrot. Or no wait, that was Aladdin.

  • Is this what Heaven sounds like?

  • Just stop fretting over other people's comments and listen to the music. That's why we clicked on this link, no?

  • Wow...speechless...such a beautiful piece of music!

  • erm... how do you pronounce 'Posthumus'?

  • @rawlinbrooks I think it's Post-humus the h has a j sound to it.

  • @rawlinbrooks - Of course, I could tell you, but it's better if I show you a resource that you can always use to solve such issues yourself: You can always go to dictionary [dot] com, look up the word, see the phonetic spelling and also listen to the pronunciation by clicking on the speaker icon.

  • 3:25-4:00 sounds like they're saying "bring a softball", or "Bodhisattva"

  • @MrCTGanGster

Ever since I read your comment, I can't help but hear "bring a softball" EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear this song. Thanks a lot sir. :D

  • Why does it matter who uses big phrases and who could care less about their choice of words? Just listen to the music.

  • My goodness...such strong, emotional reactions to my words that shouldn't matter to you at all. I well and truly hope you find your path to peace. Mine keeps me from judging and recreating others' meanings without understanding them (music is a very, *very* subjective thing indeed) while having compassion for those who choose to attack without provocation. Peace.

  • I get the feeling I am on antarctica, looking at the landscape... the landscape which is slowly disappearing.

  • Haha Some of you guys are really far out.

  • wheres the two thumbs up button???

  • @uhohitsslowchrome HAHA, glad someone could finally say it. ur all ruining good music with jubulaintly typed words that are burning my retinas lol. no offence i mean, if thats what it does to you haha :)

  • @ShortCircuit11 Well that kind of stuff never bothered me that much. It just shows how music can be used as inspiration. To some people when they hear this type of music they're creating their own story with vivid description with their imagination which can be different for everyone :D

  • This song actually made me cry :')

  • @SmoothMichaelJackson well thats.....fun

  • es kicks ass! :D

  • es kiacks ass! :D

  • i think of riding on an elephant when this song plays

  • wow just Epic makes your mind wonder.

  • 3:29 Get Osama! Get Osama!

  • @Samo762 Get Osama Get Osama Get Osam-a-a-a Get Osama.......

  • @nerdwithaboner the names come from Hindu/similar religious figures/objects ie try searching wikipedia for "Makara". You'll be surprised at what it is :)

  • Incredible....I'm speechless....doesn't happen much ;)

  • @Teewacket Get a hold of yourself, your comment is quite hyperbolic!

  • A Chorus is nice, but as background sound only..if it gets to loud and becomes to overtake the music it can get annoying..nevertheless epic track and this guy is amazing.

  • ooh...happiness =D

  • these names are funky...

  • Can someone tell me why in the hell iTunes classifies E.S. Posthumus as electronic?! They're more classical than anything!

  • @ChaoticHypocracy hahahahaha

  • @ChaoticHypocracy cause itunes just sucks in general.

  • @ChaoticHypocracy

It's actually both, but yes itunes is retarded.

  • Is this possible? :O

  • Listening to E.S. while marveling at Hubble photos... almost brought me to tears...

  • wow this one starts out awesome.. like it a lot.

  • THIS IS TRUE MUSIC! <3

  • @omarr951 ...indeed =3

  • AWESOME !!!! I LIKE MANJU

  • Epic!

  • Too bad so many people are reduced to listening to crap like Lady Gaga and Ke$ha, E.S. Posthumus is SO amazing! It takes TRUE talent to make music like this with REAL instruments, instead of just using a synth keyboard or something to make lame junk.

It also takes true talent to make instrumentals like these and yet still be able to tell a story. No lyrics needed! <3

  • @Akkita Sadly E.S. Posthumus made a song with Rihanna and Jay-Z, two . . "singers" . . who are below these amazing artists.

  • @Akkita I TOTALòL AGREE!

  • @Akkita While I agree with you, as I also love this music and want nothing more than for everyone to love it, I feel I must really correct you that an instrument is just something you press that makes a sound, in which we use to produce an inner-mind concept in the outer-world. Art. Anything is an instrument and the digital era is not to be quaffed at. We can make wonderful sounds with digital equipment. But diverging to a more nomadic standpoint, I can see what you are saying. Thank you!

  • @Akkita so what you're trying to say is that the music like Lady Gaga and Ke$ha makes, does have lyrics?

Nope.. they just repeat 3 sentences for 3-4 mins...

  • @Lontasmenn Well, sentences are still considered lyrics sometimes. =P

Anything using words, I meant.. Heh.

  • @Akkita I couldn't agree more. :)

  • @Akkita Yes! this is really music my friend

  • these people are awsome!!!!

  • *speechless*.....I'm amazed once again!!!

  • @IEatLiberalsForLunch I love your youtube name so fucking much

  • lovely...just lovely...

definitely brings a smile to my face...

  • NICE!

  • Who didn't like this video? I shall kill him.

  • @Deltapiproductions

Be sure to do it with ES Posthumus playing in the background! :D

  • And this, folks, is exactly why I don't listen to the radio anymore. There will never be anything like this on hardly any (if at all) airwaves. I'm gonna go fly now.

  • Wat a great song

  • That's probably the background song in heaven

  • @NINTEND0PR0 I lolled hard. I agree completely, though.

  • One of the most moving pieces of music I have ever heard....pure brilliance and I agree with Teewacket, it moves you to tears. I would do anything to be able to make music like this..... 6 star rating all the way.

  • UNBELIEVABLY inspiring!

  • If only there was a 6-star rating...

  • Love this cd. Have already worn it out...and this is my favorite piece on the cd

    e.s.posthumus is the best

  • i have been moved, has that top gun feel !!! Feel like doing something epic now, 5 STARS !!

  • Sounds like Vangelis.

  • love it like always...e.s posthumus is great^^

  • Agreed taffie84

  • Very heavenly! In my opinion this is the best track on the album. Unique melodic riff. Can use for upbeat or sweet ending and I like how it ends. For me the album falls a bit short. The 2 songs that were released in 08 & 09 are some of the stand outs but those are nothing new for the true fans. The only other songs that caught my attention were ushas & krosha. The dramatic epic base sound with a sweet melodies are what move me.

  • After an amazing night out after a horrible week, then coming home to listen to this...it's just amazing. The perfect song to end the night with.

  • Excellent song. This one and 'INDRA' are probably my favorite.

  • You've done it again. Moved me to tears. Carried me thousands of miles on an astral plane. Surely that plane is where this heavenly sound emanates. Namaste'.

  • @Teewacket BASTARDO! U USED NAMASTE WRONG!

  • @Teewacket

If this makes you cry, try to look at the world. Ironically of course.

  • @Desicionoflife yes it is.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (here for the music)

  • @Teewacket fag

  • @ButtHoleSurfer87o Peace be with you.

  • @ButtHoleSurfer87o A guy named ButtHoleSurfer calling someone else a fag... anyone else seeing the irony?

  • @DaxB92 ..Lawlz

  • @DaxB92 I bet he sure feels the irony

  • @DaxB92 that is SUCH a disgusting word, anyone who calls someone that should be ashamed of themselves

  • @Nahzix you mean fag? doesnt that actually just mean asshole or idiot? :S

  • @ussraf it can also mean cigarettes in the UK lol

  • Favorite song on the new album, the rest of it is pretty generic soundtrack drums stuff. What happened to the Nolitus Pi and Nara-type ES Posthumus?!

  • Are you kidding? It's not generic at all!

This new album, particularly the other pieces, is very epic and evokes a lot of strong emotion. I believe the full collection of everything E.S. Posthumus compliments - especially since they don't do the same, repetitive thing! <3

  • It's a matter of taste I guess. I actually enjoy the drum-type and intense pieces they make much more than the "generic" peaceful ones. Such as ebla, pompeii, unstoppable, kalki, vishnu, krosah, kuvera, etc.

Overall, it doesn't change the fact that all of ESP's works surpass sh!t like bad romance, jonas bros, cyrus, etc.

  • Makes me feel so happy!!! I dunnu, I feel like crying out of happiness when i hear this song!

  • la lalalalalala lalalalalala. Its nice. So peaceful like oraanu pi

  • Fantastic. E.S. Posthumus never ceases to amaze me.
