This game was very deep for a Super Nintendo game. The gameplay was sharp and crisp, the real time statistics were awesome, teams adjusted for trades, you could play it seriously or arcadey, and of course, it had Jordan and Barkley.
Go to player edit, and type in Jordan, and it pulls him up. Same with Barkley. And a lot of HOF players as well as the 95 draft class (for Stack and Garnett).

NBA Jam on the SNES I got tired of really fast. Only playing 2 on 2 and the players being to big for the screen and the fact that they made unrealistic moves just was a turnoff to me.
this game was awesome. That stats were updated so quick, and like the person below me said, turn off the fouls and out of bounds and you had a modern day Arch Rivals
we used to turn the fouls and the out of bounds off. then you can just push people while they are in the air and shit. most fun i have ever had in a video game.

I have this game for super nintendo and its very solid. Great game play and solid graphics for a 16 bit system I must say. Did playstation make a nba live 96 for its system? If so I'd like to purchase it aswell.
yeah, NBA Live '96 was released for PlayStation One back in March of 1996. I had the game for about two years and it's pretty good and well-balanced. I would definitely recommend you to purchase the PSX one, although the SNES version is great too.
I have a ps1 to but I like my SNES better. I do have NBA LIVE 96, 97, and 98 on the PS1 and NBA LIVE 95, and 96 on the snes. The snes offers great gameplay and solid graphics while the ps1 offers better graphics but gameplay is abit slowed down.
I have to agree with you on that one, although both of them are the greatest consoles of all-time. I have NBA Live '97 for both SNES and PlayStation 1, I have '98 on PS1, myself as well.
Hm...I wonder if the people who made this video game could see NBA 2K12...
