  • I'm going to miss him a lot. Thanks Jonathan, this is a beautiful song. He did change the world for the better. Rest in peace Steve.

  • "Never again will he walk out on stage" - was the thing that made me shed a tear the day it happened. It was at that point in time, I realised we would never see him again. That he was gone. Never again we'll hear him say "Good morning", "Amazing" or "Magical".

  • I just the Steve Jobs biography :'(

  • I hate it when people compare Steve Jobs to God. I mean, he is cool and all, but he's no Steve Jobs.

  • @revonvideo AMAZING!

  • R.I.P. Steve Jobs

The man who always thought for the better of the world...

    and changed it.

  • Just... perfect. You can really see what you're feeling– and I feel the same. This is the most touching tribute to Steve I've seen. Thank You.

  • Really sounds like Leonard Cohen to me. I enjoyed it.

  • Please put this version of the song on your website for download. It's so powerful. I've always loved your more folk influenced work.

  • Everytime I start my iMac and the Apple logo appears I miss Steve, his Keynotes were always funny.

    Thanks Steve R.I.P.

  • Very Strange, my iMac started electrocuting me (not too hard), the very day Steve Jobs passed away.

  • Steve Jobs still lives in my iPad 2, iPod Shuffle, iPhone 4, and iMac.

  • i can understand why you took bits out of your other song i mea you only a day, yes it annoys me, but idc good song :D

  • Great tribute. May he rest in peace.

  • I cant believe he is dead.. i just cant accept it.. he did not just look towards the future, he looked past the future.. :( i miss him allot and still can not believe that he is dead...

  • Thanks for the song.

  • Really beautiful! Just right.

  • R.I.P Steve Jobs :'-( The man who changed the world.

  • another brilliant song about a man who will never be forgotten R.I.P steve

  • this is beautiful. lyrics please. :)

  • @chaosinorderrr What the hell piss of you troll hes doing this song as hes amazing (and jonathan)

  • @TheMacShake uh what? i can't be the only one who thinks making a song hours after someone's death is a good thing... no matter what your intentions were. this is no proper way of paying respect. let the man be rested in his grave first for crying out loud.

  • @chaosinorderrr He makes a song every single day based on his own life and the news, Why would he just ignore such a major event such as Steve Jobs' death?

  • @therealciaran54 he does? i wasn't aware of that. if thats his shtick then fine. i'm cool with it.

  • @chaosinorderrr No Problem ;)

  • @chaosinorderrr

Why do you think a tribute song is a bad way of paying your respects? Especially as this song is both tasteful and beautifully expressive. Also in your first comment, you said he was 'cashing in' on the death. I really don't see how you reached this conclusion. He's not spoilt the song by putting a 'BUY MY SONGS NOW!' thing anywhere on this page. It's just his own way of saying how much Steve's death means to him as an Apple fanboy and fellow human being.

  • @goopmonkey cashing in = capitalizing. anyway drop it... someone just informed me that he makes a song everyday about current events n stuff.. if thats his shtick then im cool with the whole thing.

  • @chaosinorderrr shut up

  • I get shivers while listening to this song. Very good version of your old very good song. I just keep playing this with you. RIP Steve

  • Great

  • Great Work :)

  • Your guitar tones awesome@!

  • Good performance, beautiful gesture, but so so sad. I'm gutted. Good bye Steve, and thank you. We should all follow Steve's example and live life to the fullest. Steve Jobs was more than just Apple - his vision encompassed us all, and gave clarity to what we could be. Thank you for everything Steve.

  • @millahtime that's the same as me... I'll miss him so very much

  • Thank You

  • iPod. iMac. iPhone. iPad. iDied.

    he's now in iCloud :'(

  • Thank You

  • RIP Steve jobs ur missed

  • My heart sank as soon as I opened Safari, and saw the images for my Top Sites page refresh....and was greeted with an Apple homepage with Steves picture, and "1955-2011". I sat there and stared for a couple of minutes before finally clicking it and going to Apples site, I just could not believe it and didn't want it to be true. For the past 11 years, ever since I was 13 years old, I have always looked up to him...

  • RIP 

  • iDepress.....

  • Lovely version of a old song.

  • Changed the world.

  • Touching song. RIP Steve Jobs. We will miss you.

  • Memorable song about a memorable man.

  • Love that its a cover of your already well established Steve Jobs song.

  • He's in my pockets, he's on my desk, he wakes me up, he helps me sleep, and will continue to do so for the rest of my life.

  • @CarsonGall0 thats creepy. he wakes you up? helps you sleep?

    little too far my man

  • @Hubahubatime you don't have a problem with him in their pockets??? :P

  • This song makes me cry. Great job, Jonathan.

  • WHY YOU GOT AWAY STEVE JOBS!!!???

    i Die

  • Thank you Steve, for what you came up with these technological inventions!

    RIP Steve Jobs.

  • Goodbye, Steve Jobs - and thanks.

  • Holy shit, is this heart-felt! Mister Jobs did a great service to this world. Thanks for the Mac. Thanks for saving the Mac. Thank you.

  • Love that you took lyrics from you're other song about Steve. Great Job. We lost a great man tonight.

    RIP Steve Jobs

  • Well done sir. Disappointing to see such a great mind leave us.

  • :(.

  • So Sad. You will be missed, Steve Jobs, 1955-2011

  • God that was fast... you write quick...

  • @NickDaMan0 He had already written it, it was a song a day a while ago. That's why it doesn't count for today.

    R.I.P. Steve Jobs

  • Such a sad day, and such a sad song. Very emotional mixing the original steve jobs song you did with this :(

  • Sad.

  • iSad

  • I'm not saying Tim Cook will be bad, but he won't be a Steve Jobs.

  • He'll be missed. R.I.P., Steve.

  • WTG Jonathan, great tribute

  • Rip Steve. You will be missed. :(

  • And I'm 3rd!

  • @AppleAppsPodcast congratulations

  • @plaidfluff Told ya. Took an hour. lol. Although I was surprised he did it so fast too.

  • @joshjhutton I think this was actually a song he wrote a while ago for when this occasion happened. I'm pretty sure I'd heard it (or parts of it, anyway) before. Still, way to be classy.

  • Rest in Peace Steve you will be missed.

  • It's amazing how fast you can think of amazing songs. Even on such short notice. Good job sir, and RIP Steve Jobs.

  • @Hildron101010 Maybe he had that song planned before Steve Jobs death.

  • RIP Steve
