I'm afraid this type of "true to his/her art comedian" has long since passed! George Burns and Gracie Allen were also notables as well. It may seem silly but I feel comedy has been dumbed down to vulgar rubbish. The other key ingrediant missing is memorable personalities.

@danoinreno i love wc,i use to stay up until3am to watch his episodes seem like

tv was so funny that time of the morning being half sleepy, or maybe weeded up while everyone else was sleep, old black and whites love it. lol

@boomcc1 yes , I recall having to stay up till the wee hours to watch good films, is it not wonderful, that now we can watch these great works just about any old time we would like, peace and WC !!!
